1 year!

Today is 1 year since I quit smoking!!! I know it's not related, but I'm proud of myself.

Awesome Katie! I am so proud of you. I quit earlier this year for 7 weeks and started again due to high stress in my life. I just quit again- one week and counting.

I totally get the stress thing. The only time I cheated was when I got my diagnosis. I didn’t want to stop, but I did the math and realized I had to pick between meds or smokes. Overall once I got outside of a month it wasn’t so bad. Also there’s an app called quitter that helps. It keeps track of how long you’ve been without one and how much you’ve saved. At one year I’ve saved 2,190 bucks.

Katie, This is terrific....I've been smoke free 31/2 yrs and am so grateful. It isn't a easy task so be super proud of yourself....Keep up the great work. Lots of hugs, Robin

thank you!!!

Congrats! That is something to be very proud of!

Have a wonderful day, Tina

Well done! Keep it up

Thanks- I downloaded it. I think it will really help.

Dear Katie

Congratulations! I am so proud of you. Although it is now over 20 years since I gave up smoking I still remember what a struggle it was. One of the things that helped me was to keep repeating to myself, "I am a non-smoker." Childish as this seems, it helped to reinforce the fact that I no longer smoked. At the time that I gave up when you went out to eat they used to ask if you wanted a talble in the smoking or non-smoking area. It used to give me a real kick to say, 'Non-smoking, please.' So often it is the little things in life that make the biggest difference.

Congrats Katie!

How are you feeling?

Katie, congratulations! That's a wonderful gift to yourself and the rest of your family - your continued health. I'm proud of you too. It's a hard thing to do, from what I understand. Keep it up! Your health is worth it!

That is so wonderful !! I hope you can reward yourself with a treat !! Congrats !!!

Thank you so much for the support. I’m just happy to have something to be proud of myself for.

Katie I am so proud of you I didn't know you smoked but I am so glad you stopped.

thanks! I just like the fact that I don't smell anymore and I don't have any bags under my eyes.

That is fantastic Katie ! So proud of you ! I quit....many times. Never seems to stick, the first sign of stress and I'm right back to it. I'll take your continued success as my motivation to quit again !

even though it isn't related

. It is in some ways. Everyone has a situation each dealing with it differently. It's just that smoking is what some have to deal with and fibro many have to deal with. Difference however is : You can quit smoking, but you can't quit fibro, that person suffering has no choice but to deal. Congrads on you quit smoking. My prayers for your hubby..

Congrats Katie!! :) Good for you, I'm proud of you too. :)

Well if you find a way to quit fibro I'll gladly use that advice. ;-)
