Any advice greatly appreciated... And ps got some good news!

Congratulations! I wish I had some advice, but I never had children. At least a couple of people so far have some advice, and I am sure more will. I will raise a special prayer for you for an easy pregnancy and a healthy baby!

Kimberly :)

Congrats ! My hope for you is to have a pain free pregnancy and sometimes when your body does through big changes like a pregnancy it will put other illness on hold . God won’t give you more then what you can handle !!!

Congrats Jo! I'm so happy for you!

I don't know if you are aware of this but women with Lupus do go in to remission when pregnant and it usually lasts until they finish nursing. This happened with my daughter-in-law and I pray this happens for you too. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

Soft Hugs,

Congratulations, Jo! You will make it and you will have a beautiful and sweet little one to love. Just take care of yourself and listen to your body's needs. I don't have much advice to offer as I didn't develop fibro until I was older. I did have two pregnancies with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome but I had no idea I had it back then. I would have advice for an EDS mom though as I remember what I went through. I have the hypermobile type of EDS (I'm double jointed) and it caused problems with hips popping, stretch mark and such. EDS is a genetic connective tissue disorder that causes the body to make weak collagen. Very few people know about it, including doctors, I know you will do fine. Just save your spoons and be good to yourself.

Hi Jo

Congratulations, how exciting for you. I have had 3 babies whilst having fibro and I can honestly say that some things seem to be alot better during pregnancy and breast feeding and other things I guess can get a bit harder. As this illness has many symptoms I am guessing everyone would be different during pregnancy. Just remember to be healthy and take good care of yourself and try to get lot's of rest as you will need it. It is a beautiful and exciting time so all the best for you and your family.

Thanks Teesa! Xx

Thanks Dar! I am doing my research and doing everything to make life as fun and manageable as poss. Luckily I have the most perfect man I could dream of.

Hugs back at ya xx

congratulations jo xxx

That’s so sweet Cherie. Thanks so much for your kind words and support. It really helps to hear from others like yourself with fibro too. I guess you have a wonderful partner too to help. Bless you for being so positive and strong xx

That is interesting isn’t it. Always worth hoping for a little ease from the symptoms especially when giving up much needed medication. The love for and from the little ones is a great healer too

Congrats on the wonderful news. Yes we are fighters; too much life to live. Soon you will be holding your baby and you will thank God for your blessing and your life; despite all the pain. It may be a rough rocky painful road but those smiles you get from your baby and all the unconditional love will help you through. Work closely with all your doctors during your pregnancy and keep us posted each step. I am so excited for you but I know your fears also...I volunteer to babysit. lol

take care...it will all work out..

Sissy....

First off Jo, a HUGE congratulations to you. Children are a challenging blessing. Mine are all grown up but we have our grands now and they are the best.

When I first read your post I went to good old Google and typed in Fibromyalgia and pregnancy and of course WebMD came up so here is a link as to what it said http://www.webmd.com/fibromyalgia/guide/fibromyalgia-and-pregnancy I would suggest to keep moving as hard as it is for most of us because of the pain but as you get further along it will get harder on you if you don't plus moving will help to keep extra weight off besides the normal baby weight you will gain. Talk to your fibro doc about this as well he/she may have suggestions about activity and your pain levels. Find out also about massage therapy if you would benefit from this while pregnant. I wish you the best of luck and keep us all posted on your progress.

Gentle Hugs

Carol

Thanks Angie! Hope you’re keeping well! Xxx

That's also important!!!!! Keep me in touch! gentle hugs dar

Awww yes! I can’t wait. We have to fill our lives with love and happiness. Having fibro really helps you appreciate all the finer things the “healthies” take for granted. Now we really learn the art of happiness and believe in our inner strength.

Aww thanks for the babysitting! We’ll bring you home some treats! Lol. (All the cupboards and fridges will be loaded already too!) haha.

Will keep you posted! Even when I tell the family lol no they haven’t got a clue yet. We only just told them we’re getting married next April/may so we’ll have to postpone haha

Thanks again Sissy! Xx
