As I fall asleep

Every night, just as I start falling asleep, I get jolted awake as if there was a very loud noise in the room. This can happen if I'm lying down or in a chair. Once I wake, I then get pains that roll down both legs and I can't fall back to sleep. Does anyone else experience this craziness?

The leg pains come and go as I wake throughout the night.

The 1st part is called Restless Leg Syndrome, (I know, I know, but that's what they call it) & there is a Med for it. the 2nd part I have no clue, call your MD about that one. M

Thanks Luna01 for your reply. I have Restless leg syndrome, but this isn't the same pain. I am not looking for a diagnosis and really don't want to bring it to my doctor at this point because when I go, I have more important issues that I need to prioritize. I wanted input from others with FM /FMS to see if I am alone with this one. I think I may have found a few possibilities.

Hi

I did this and explained it to my doctor was told its your body jerking you a wake. I would tell your doctor about it once I started on meds my sleep has been much better and I have had less fatigue and fibro fog.

Thanks purplebutterfly. Maybe it will get better as my meds increase.
