Have you guys seen the info about the first ever NYC Caterpillar Walk for fibromyalgia awareness? It is happening May 9 at Hudson River Park. An easy 1 mile walk and special guests. I can post more e info if anyone is interested in attending and meeting fellow spoonies in person!

Oh that sounds amazing! My son is an architect in Manhatten but he is flying home to spend Mother’s Day with me on May 7th & flying back to NYC on May 12th. I’ll tell him so that he can mention it to his friends. Maybe next year I can visit him again & we can participate!

Join us in raising fibromyalgia awareness May 9th for the first NYC Caterpillar Walk! There will be a 1 mile walk, silent auction for artwork from Brooke Shaden, raffles, a performance by musician Bobby Long, and the President of the National Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain Association, Jan Chambers, will speak. We also expect a state proclamation presentation.

I wish!!! I'm a former New Yorker who grew up in the Hudson Valley, and wish I could join you but I'm too far away to drive it on my own any more, since I live in the greater Boston area.
I am SO psyched to hear about this walk, though!!!! Let's hope that others will follow suit and put together walks for fibro research funding.

We even have a generous sponsor allowing us to give some free registrations- just let me know and I can send instructions to register for free! And please cross post to your facebook and Twitter to get the word out! I am hopeful we will get some media attention as well- first ever big walk like this in NY!!
