Hi, Angie! So glad you found someone to listen and want to help you! :) I have been on Lyrica for about 6 months, and it helps with my pain. I still have bad days, like today, when I ache pretty bad, but it is not as bad as it was before Lyrica. I will say I am also taking Cymbalta, but I have gained quite a bit of weight while on this med (some of its swelling). I have heard that Lyrica doesn't work for everyone, but so far it has helped me.

Hugs (gently),

Susan

Hi Angie, I’m so glad you have found a dr to listen to you, that is a huge mountain climbed right there !!! Unfortunately ,
I can’t offer any advice on Lyrica… I am allergic
But I know many have reported great results, I hope for you it helps, start it slow… It can cause a drunk like feeling…

Hugs

I hope you have good results. I have less pain on lyrica but since I am 5 feet tall the extra weight is causing problems and I will be changing it soon. On the up side my friend gained 15 pounds lost them in no time and thinks its the best med ever invented.

Ty for replys x will keep an eye on my weight , just hope it eases the pain , hugs angie xx

Hi Angie!

I take 225 mg 3x a day, for Sciatic nerve pain, and it works! The does has to be increased slowly, so it can be tolerated. It causes me to hold fluid, and swell, gain weight. I just have to stop it once in a while and let my body throw off the fluid, luckily it does it naturally, meaning I run to the bathroom often!

It the pain you are having is nerve pain it will help. I don't think it helps with muscle or joint/bone pain at all though.

I really do hope it helps you, Angie!

So glad that you got a Dr who listens to you and treats you with kindness and respect! It means everything!

Love and hugs,

SK
