Best mattress

Does anyone have a suggestion for any type of mattress that is good for fibro? I end up sleeping in a recliner most nights -a few hours at a time - because my mattress just hurts every part of my body too much. Thank you for any suggestions.

2yrs ago I bought myself a 4" foam top ($110) to my bed, best buy I ever gave myself. I have a full size bed but I bought queen size sheets, fits perfectly.

I got a nice foam mattress topper and it helped me to sleep better on the bed.

I know this is long, but read it anyway. Have you ever seen the Movie, Rhinestone Cowboy, where Robert Redford wakes up one of the mornings that they are camping out, and Jane Fonda stands there aghast, as he moans and groans, and creaks and cracks all with the pain of his joints. He finally says, "it's alright, some parts wake up faster than others". Well, that was me every morning for about 10 years, not knowing at the time about my fibro, only about my arthritis. Finally one wet, rainy, damp, chilly morning, I stamped my foot and screamed at my husband, enough is enough, I AM going out today and buy a new mattress! And so I did. Now the story about the row that went along with the new $1300.00 mattress is too long to go into detail. But I wasn't done yet, I also went out and purchased a 4in deep Memory Foam Mattress pad to put on top of that and I have slept like a baby every night and get out of bed in the morning with little to no pain. A Good Mattress is a Good Investment when you hurt the way people do with fibro. The memory foam is totally encompassing and supporting and soft but firm. It is also a good investment. Remember, this is for your health and well being and happiness, I was a much happier person in the morning after the new mattress treatment, which of course made my husband happier too. If you can't get it now, at least get the memory foam makes a world of difference. And then ask Santa for the Mattress. If you do not get proper rest at night you do not function properly the next day. Good luck, and happy sleeping AND Waking up. I might add that in just a few weeks my husband was just as happy as I for getting the new mattresses.

I have a temperpedic and it really helps me sleep at least 6 good hours if not 7. That's pretty good for me since I have some other issues other than fibro going on. I agree with the others about getting the 4" topper if you can't afford the mattress. It'll help absorb the impact of your bodies prominent areas and give some relief. God bless!
