Bike

I just got a new bike in the hopes it will help my leg pain. I rode it for the first time lastnight (not been on one in 30 years.) and I feel pretty good today. My question dose anyone ride a bike to help with there FM pain?

i , too would love to ride a bike but I additionally have pain from spinal disease and osteo arthritis. i am glad if you are able to do it. YAY.. i think when ever one can successful exercise it is a very wonderful thing.. since you have not ridden in 30 years i would only suggest you take it slow and build yourself up. HUGGGGS

I could only ride to the end of my rode and back. I will have to go slow I do not want to hurt from it or I know I will quit.

I walk. I hope you get to enjoy it and that it helps you.

Hi Maggiemay,

Well, each of us can do different things. I don't think I could crouch down like you're supposed to do on a bike any longer. I also couldn't stop it if necessary. That you can do all of this is great! That you could tolerate it to the end of your road and back is another victory. Take it easy and do the amount that feels best for you. Be careful not to overdo it. But give yourself a nice pat on the back for doing it because for people in our boats, it's a big step.

I tried using a walking machine (can't think of the darned thing's name!) at my sister's gym. I was able to stay on it for 20 minutes and didn't feel horrid the next few days. I really want to do it again when I finally get back home.

Phew - remembered the name - treadmill!
