you sound so like me. Look up EM its sister site on here. Often fibro and EM diagnosed together or confused (so im told). I get hot flashes, cold always, swelling on heat is major symptom and the burning. No everyone seems to get tremors or itching - i didnt at first. The sensation of being swollen but not and loss of sensation is another symptom - its horrid
Please do check EM. Im no Dr but you are saying the same things many EM sufferers say. There is a moderator laura on there, SK introduced me to her shes great to ask questions/speak to.
I know exactly what your talking about. Sometimes I swear that I will never have a normal body temperature because my hands and feet go from subzero to the flames of hell in about five seconds. The only thing I have found to help with this is running my hands and feet under ice cold water until the burning starts to disapate a little. This leaves my hands feeling strangely tight, blotchy red and swollen but thank God the burning isn't as bad.
The worst for me is probably at bed, I can wake up any given night and feel like my feet are actually on fire. My redneck solution for this is to soak two washcloths in freezing cold water and then bind my feet up in them with rubber bands until the burning goes down. I know that sounds silly but whatever helps the pain to go away faster. Try to see if there are any triggers for the burning sensation as well (what you eat, etc.) If i have too much sugar, I find that it enflames my hands and feet a lot faster and tends to last longer as well.
