Any good Fibro doctors in Columbia County, PA?

http://www.healthgrades.com/rheumatology-directory/pa-pennsylvania/bloomsburg

I did see one Rheumatologist in my area about a year ago, but he said he couldn't help me because he doesn't specialize in Fibro. He didn't refer me to any of his partners either. Should I be looking for any Rheumatologist or should I ask for someone who specializes in Fibro? I don't know if he was blowing me off or not. He thought I had a different condition along with the Fibro, so he was treating me for that until he discovered he was wrong. Thank God it was safe treatment! Thank you so much for all of the help!!!

I go to a wonderful doctor in Kittanning, PA. His name is Dr. Homer Schreckengost! I can send u his number if you like. I'm not sure how far away you are from Kittanning. I drive 2 hours one way to see him.

I've heard of him before, but not sure from where. I would love it if you would send me his number! Thank you so much!!! Right now I'm relying on my primary care Dr who I just started seeing and God bless him, he is trying his best. I just "fired" my last primary Dr of 5 years in December because I found that she has be lying to me for at least the last year, so I'm basically starting from square 1. Thank you very much, I'll take any help I can get!

Gentle hugs!!!

Hi hopeless,

I'm actually in NY just over the border from Honesdale, but I'm not familiar with the towns near you. If you check this link, it's from the American College of Rheumatology, and it lists all of the Board Certified doctors in PA.

ACR - Pennsylvania

Hope this helps!

Hugs,
Renie

I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you! I'm having a hard time figuring out how this support page works. His name is Dr. Homer Schreckengost and his phone number is 724-■■■■■■■■. Now let me tell you a little about what I went through. It was a very long process, but I am 75% better most of my days now. I do alot of stuff to help my fibro too. I'm on it 24 hours a day. And yes I have my Fibro flairs, usually when I eat something that is not a WHOLE food! I swear sugar affects me badly. Pain is 10 x worse. So I am back to working as an RN three 12 hour shifts a week. If it wasn't for him I probably would have committed suicide by now! He honest to GOD saved my life. I just keep doing exactly what he tells me to do now!! Good Luck and let me know if you call him! Brian is his office manager, he is absolutely so understanding and supportive! Tell him his patient from Martins Ferry that drives 2 hours to see him sent you!!! It is a very rough program to go through and I had to put the bill on a care credit card and yes I probably will be paying this for a very long time. But he was my last resort, and he told me that when people get to him it is their last resort. Yes it was very expensive but I did not care, and still don't. I'm alot better as long as I stretch by Hatha Yoga, take my meds and supplements and eat super healthy. I am much better. For breakfast I eat eggs, oatmeal with no sugar, cheese, fruit, toast. Lunch generally raw vegetables with hummus and some fruit. Dinner meat, brown rice, veggies. No food that comes in a box at all! Have to make things ahead too, like soups, salads with quinoa. I just get alot of recipes on vegetarian/vegan sites. I would never have believed this if I have not lived it! GOOD LUCK, he can truly help you, but you must do what he says!!!

Sorry, I don't know where Columbia County, PA is located. I live outside Philadelphia and see a Dr. Stephen Katz,

Fairless Hills, PA. He has been my doctor for about 12 years and I know he has saved my life and given me a better

quality of life. People come from out of state to see him.
