Hi River!

I have Raynaud's P, secondary, my BP is on the low side of normal, I am always like a block of ice, my usual temp is below the norm, it is rather rare that I run a temp when I am sick, am more likely to suffer the chills that 20 blankets don't seem to help. I have primary Psoriatic Arthritis that was diagnosed by my Rheum by my pitted fingernails alone as I have no Psoriasis, but ALL of my grand kids do.

I hope that you are in the care of a good Rheumatologist, even if you have a good Primary Physician. It is my personal opinion that their knowledge and wisdom is our very best hope of feeling better, if not best. I also have a great Primary who found Sjogren's, (with continuous blood testing for it), my first autoimmune disease. He still insists I am also, and always will be in the care of a Rheumatologist. He is my second, the first Rheum spend hours with me, saw nothing, not even the Sjogren's that twice tested 'off the charts', where as this one diagnosed me after my initial application within 2 minutes of seeing me. Enbrel has made the biggest difference in my life so far, even my Chiropractor noticed the difference.

avenk is right on the money about the list, I keep a running list, usually taped to the refrigerator, so I can add to it as I think of things.

There are disease modifying drugs to slow the progression of both autoimmune and Osteo arthritis, the first question needs to be who can decide what kind of arthritis you have and then get 'on it'!

We all want to to get some solid answers and some substantial relief, River! You deserve it!

Love and hugs,

SK

What causes the pitted fingernails?
And I would get a full blood panel, because I’ve always taken vitimans and stuck to a healthy diet. And in a matter of 5 months. My body had no vitiman D, now I take 50,000 units a week. No B-12 , I give myself weekly injections. And my chlosterol went from being perfect to over 300 points over normal ( walking stroke) so now I’m on Lipitor, and a horrible diet.
