Thanks for the info Sheila. It's great how helpful people are on here.
Yes, i hope he is doing well on the other side.
You might have something with the late dream interpretation. I struggled my way through college and felt wholly unprepared for “real” life. But that was 25 years ago. Amazing how our insecurities can hang with us.
Sweet dreams, my precious!
I have had an ongoing dream. It lasted for 3 nights where the dream started from where it left off the night before. I don't remember what it was about, I should have written it down. I have trouble remembering things. I have also just had a dream about me dreaming in my dream. I woke up from that dream and then I woke up again realizing I was having a dream in a dream. I have some really scary dreams as well. One I was with someone (I never know who it is that is with me in my scary dreams), we were walking on the bottom of a ship. We were told not to look down into the hole with water. We did and something came out, but I woke up. I seem to have a lot of dreams where it seems I am going in circles, one dream, it was dark, cloudy out, my "friend" and I were riding bikes and would be on the sidewalk, then turn up the steps to a creepy house. When we were on the outer porch, someone would come out..i would wake. I think I could write a book on scary, creepy dreams. I have them often.
It's amazing how our brains interpret our experiences into the dreams, that don't always make sense straight away. Our dreams are like another language that we have to translate again. It's surprising how they often make sense to us when we look closely.
Sweet dreams too MB!!
Ooooooo spooky Dawn... I have those dreams you dream then you wake up, then you really wake up. They are so weird aren't they... Yes a book would be very interesting. If we could remember all our dreams they would make a briliiant thriller or horror movie too.
A lot of times I dream about my paternal grandmother, who died several years ago, and in the dream she's much younger. I also dream about people in my life being extremely mean and evil. I also dream about traveling with my kids a lot, which is something I used to do when they were a bit younger. My dreams are weird, but I learned in psychology classes that dreams are the result of your mind being over active while we are asleep, for we have no control over our thoughts when we sleep, so all of our many thoughts become mixed up and result in strange dreams, sometimes vivid. I notice that since I'm on meds, I dream more vividly.
Aww thats sad but it's still good to see those who are no longer with us. The theory on the sleep makes a lot of sense because they change so suddenly whilst dreaming as people come and go, as well as our surroundings etc. I think my meds do make them more vivid too. Sometimes its a good thing.
I know they would, maybe we should do that and get rich lol. Most of my dreams are like that, always seem to be on the darker side. I have never dreamed about my dad or grandmother who passed away a month apart. They were the most important people in my life and I was close to both of them. It took me a long time to get a handle on that. I was also pregnant with my second son. Anyhow, that is off the beaten track. I have a lot of trouble sleeping with restless legs, it just seems to be relentless. No matter what I do I just can't seem to get it to stop. Then I go to sleep and will dream at times, and those are the dreams i remember. Seems I have a lot to talk about and kind of bouncing from one subject to the next. Sorry about that. Gentle hugs to all.
Yes, we could be millionaires! lol.
Sounds like you have had a lot to go through, and it manifests in our dreams too. Just when you thought you could relax and go to sleep, the stress demons come out to play. Evil little "somethings"! We worry a lot too and that creates some awful dreams as well as the pain.
It's good to talk and get it all out in the open. Thats what we're all here for.
We're in this together.
Sweet dreams tonight! x
Omg thats so familiar, only I have "had to kill someone" once lol. That freaked me out more than anything. It was self-defence to someone trying to kill me. I guess in a way that is a good dream? lmao. I have been strangled, shot, stabbed, beaten to death, injected, electrocuted, hung, drowned, every way you could imagine. Horrible!
Glad I'm not the only one, in a weird sort of way. I need painkillers damn it Doc!!
Wow! You have 9 lives… or 19… or… Oh crap, I lost count! LOL
Lmao! I must be immortal!
Jo, If I dream, I no longer remember it, but I don't think I sleep long enough to even dream!
Hey Jo, do you take amitriptyline? I know some antidepressants can cause strange dreams . I don’t think I dream and when I do I actually feel like I got a bit of sleep
Sweet dreams
Yes, I have 75 - 100mg at night so I'm guessing now thats what it is then. lol. I was wondering if it was those.
Thenks Dee!!
Sweet dreams to you too!
It's not always bad not to remember your dreams if they're going to be weird. I'm sorry you don't sleep enough. Can you get help for it? Thats got to make you feel worse having sleep that poor.
Sweet dreams very soon for SK please!
Jillian: I have looked up a certain word from your message :
"it's usually someone trying to kill me and I'm trying to escape or I'm trying to kill them...pretty gross."
escape means this: To dream that you escape from injury, an animal, or from any situation, signifies your good health and prosperity. You will experience a favorable turn of events. I hope that this helps you with your dreams.
I have also looked up the other word, Kill and here's a meaning for this dream symbol:
To see a killer in your dream, suggests that an essential aspect of your emotions have been cut off. You feel that you are losing your identity and your individuality. Alternatively, this dream may represent purification and the healing process. You are standing up for yourself and putting a dramatic end to something.
Please let me know if this helps you in any way as I try to help others understand what their dreams mean to them....Take this information and see if it's what you feel inside...if it doesn't make any sense to you at the moment then just keep this in mind for a later time as it might click in later> Take Care, Pat
Jo: To dream that you kill someone, indicates that you are on the verges of losing your temper and self-control. Consider the person you have killed and ask yourself if you feel any rage towards him or her in your waking life. Your dream may be expressing some hidden anger. Alternately, you may be trying to kill an aspect of yourself that is represented by the person killed. Identify the characteristics of this person and ask yourself which of these qualities you are trying to put an end to.
Hope this helps you Jo.
Pat
Hi Jo: I hope you don't mind me trying to help people out here with their dreams as only letting them know what their dream symbols mean and try to give an explanation of what it means. I have taken my dreams and deciphered them with the help of a dream dictionary and want to know if any of this makes any sense to others too.
I have looked up the dream symbol Death as you have mentioned that in your message and here's what I have on it:
DEATH: This one is a long one and it gives specifics on different ways of the word death, If you could narrow it down that would help me out to give you a specific meaning? Can you do this?
I will give you a few of what is listed....if this helps you;
To dream about death of a loved one......
To dream about faking your death.....
To dream that you die in your dream.....
To see someone dying in your dream....
Please let me know and i can get back to you with an explanation.
OMG! Last night (or rather this morning), I dreamed about my husband's funeral! What a dream to have...he's still very much alive, and I am still shaken by it. I just wanted to share this with you all. I hope all of our dreams become more pleasant.
