Electric sensitivity causing your symptoms?

Hi,

I've been a member of this forum for several years now and I have noticed distinctly that the sensitivity and increase in my symptoms occur whenever I spend time on the computer,
watch tv or are in any environment that has bright lights or alot of electrical equipment. I've spent alot of time researching this and finally decided to actually do something
to improve my environment and minimize the exposures.

Doctors, even the good ones, could not offer much help in this area of electric sensitivity even though they were very interested in it and had other patients who reported
the same problems. I've heard other members of the forum say that they experience this same reaction to electrical equipment and also to changes in weather, storms, rain and barometric pressure
changes, all of which increase symptoms such as pain, fatigue, headaches and brain fog, etc.

Some of the major electrical offenders that emit the emf/electromagnestic fields and radiation seem to be cell phones, microwaves, smart meters(installed on homes
in recent years without permission)that make people very ill, tv's, WiFi, and all wireless electronics, cell towers, cfl bulbs, but there are many other things that
you would not realize that may be affecting you.

Stephen Magee's website is an excellent source and direct contact with him can be made for consults and/or environmental inspection of the home, or just
general information.

I have found his books, such as Health Forensics, Toxic Electricity, and many more of his publishings, contain information that is crucial
for those of us who are suffering with chronic pain and fatigue, and other chronic symptoms. The following two books of his, along with others can be found
on Amazon and are very affordable.

Also, you will find that he has posted numerous videos of his reseach and finding on youtube for people to watch and learn from.

Take care,

How interesting, Allergic -- thank you for posting. I hope this doesn't mean that you will be scarce on our groups from now on, though...

This information is extremely interesting to me. I will definitely be checking into it! No wonder I don’t like shopping at Best Buy! LOL

dancermom,

I have to limit how much time I spend on the pc for sure. I have severe symptoms from just being on pc or watching tv, fatigue, pain, headaches and eye problems. I've started to make the recommended changes to my household environment. The books referenced above explain so much and once I had my house inspected, I am now able to fix the specific areas that need mitigation. Some of the things that you can do are simple and not expensive but you have to have some understanding of what is happening in your environment and of the electrical exposures that the average household has in it.

I really hope members will look into this. It's something that affects sleep quality and I know we all have issues with that! That alone makes the effort worthwhile.

ha ha No kidding! You will be shocked at some of the things that you would never think of that are affecting your health. I wish I would have had more awareness of this before, but better late than never.

Well I think most of these environmental things that you have mentioned have sneaked up on us all. 20 years ago there were not as many major health issues as today. And I think that most of what you mentioned are suppose to be within the limits of exposure. Not sure if I just made sense. LOL, I agree that there is to many things that have evolved around us that are definitely worth looking into.

I just read on cnn.com the other day that there is a new 3-D printer that is going to just sweep everyone off their feet. This machine is suppose to make new transplant organs for people on the list for donors, could potentially take all the homeless off the street by printing livable homes in one day for a more reasonable price, plus make a four course dinner in less time than it takes to prepare. I was really overtaken with this device. It can do a few other things to, forget what they are, fibro forget, but cnn.com has the link, it was there yesterday.

Also cell phones will be able to scan your body for images that you can send to your doctor from where ever you are. So no need to go to an office. LOL, that was more newer tech from cnn.com, I read that about two weeks ago.

Technology is one of my favorite things to read about besides the universe.

Thanks for sharing those links. I plan to check them out.

Coast to Coast A.M. has done several shows on this topic. I use to listen to this show when I worked midnights. Now, when I can't sleep due to the fibro, I will listen if there's an interesting topic. The latest show was John B. Wells interviewing Dr. Samuel Milham on August 17, 2013. Here's the link to the show: http://www.coasttocoastam.com/show/2013/08/17.

I think you have to be an "insider" member to listen to the show. But the recap of it is informative and has links to look at.

Shatosa,

Thanks for posting that link. I had it pulled up earlier and now I can't get it again, my computer is scanning. I will have to wait and look later.

surfishgirl,

Lots of things are "supposed to be within the acceptable limits of exposure" but, unfortunately many products and technology is approved without proper testing and without thought of environmental safety. Profit is the goal and the priority, sad to say.
