Errands and Appointments

Hi everyone - well, living in Nevada - it is getting REALLY cold now. Can feel the ol' Fibro getting ready to 'party!' Ugh!

I find that during the cold months - I need to schedule appointments and do errands late morning or early afternoons. I can't make appointments after 3pm - because I am tired by then. I need a couple of hours in the morning to 'warm up' before I go outside. Leaving so early in the morning is torture on my fibro and my hands.

Do any of you have these problems? Also - do you find yourself getting tired by mid-afternoon? Just wondering if I am the ONLY one with this all going on! LOL Gentle Hugs!! Laurie

I do the same…you have to do what works…stay warm

Hello Laurie,

Absolutely, I am exactly the same! Ideally I like to have a little lie-in, then I have a little bit of energy late morning. If I do have to get up and do something I am tired by 3pm. To be honest, whatever time i get up and whatever I do I am tired by 3pm! To keep going somedays takes an enormous amount of effort, sadly.

So you are not alone, and thank-you, I also realise I am not the only one.

Take care, Anne

Hi Laurie,

I get tired by mid afternoon all the time! I find it more difficult to get up and get going when the colder months hit; and more difficult to keep going when it is colder. It takes more energy to keep our bodies warm in the winter months, and that can be drain on our energy supply, along with the FMS symptoms that drain our energy as well.

Sending support your way,

Sara

Just take it easy, do what you can and don't push it!

I've lived in cold climates basically all my life and you just have to figure out what your sustainable level of activity is!

Kansas (where I am now) can be very intense: Hot in the summer and cold in the winter. I used to live in FAR NORTHERN Minnesota (International Falls), that was crazy cold from Decmber until February.

I used to tell people that I would never live in a southern climate, but I'm rethinking that now. That said, I can't imagine Christmas without snow! It's just not the same!!!
