Fibro and Pregnant?

After a year of a crazy amount of doctors visits, I found out about 6 weeks ago that its fibromyalgia.

I’m currently 7 months pregnant, and I don’t know what to do. I’m freaking out about nearly everything right now, and I don’t really know who to talk to.

Anyone experienced the last few months of pregnancy with fibromyalgia?

Hi hmoon, I'm so sorry you have fibro, but at least you know now. I'm afraid my pregnancy's were long before I was diagnosed with fibro. But I've been seeing an internist for while now, and she says fibro probably caused the 5 miscarriages I had between my 2 full-term pregnancys. Don't worry they all happened around 3-4 months. Your safe. I'm sure you;ll be perfectly fine. Please try not to worry, stress will aggravate both your fibro and your pregnancy. I hope someone pregnant or recently pregnant will be able to reassure you too. With all the people on this site surely there's one person who is just right to help.Congratulations and best wishes, Charlie :)

Hi hmoon, such an awesome thing having a baby.!!! Not so good to have fibro, I’m so sorry that during this time in your life that you should be so excited, your having to deal with fibro and the process of learning how to deal with it.
Take it one day at a time, try and focus on staying calm, I don’t normally say that, but we have to consider that emotional upset may not be good for the pregnancy or the baby. I have read discussions where moms have stated that fibro got better during pregnancy, a few may have said it got worse, but i have never heard anyone say fibro caused harm to the baby, I will look up those discussions & message the members that had input on this subject. Hopefully some new moms with fibro will see your discussion.
This is such a special time, don’t let the fibro put fear where there should be joy, learning to deal with fibro will take time… It’s a process, we can help you with that, but there is nothing you have to do right now. Just rest, eat right, & continue to do what you have been, unless directed differently by our dr.

Hugs & blessings

Thank you so much for the support! The most difficult thing for me seems to be not knowing which symptoms are attributed to pregnancy (and are temporary) and which are fibromyalgia (which aren’t). Did I mention that I’m also job searching? I am really struggling with the idea of giving up my part time gig and don’t know if I can handle a full time position.

It’s just a whole new world! I am thankful to have a diagnosis though.
Thanks again for the support!
