Fibro or illness?

Weather has always been a huge factor in how I feel. This week has been extremely bad, we have had numerous storms, and very little sunshine. Today the sun is out, for a little while, but more storms are moving in. All week long, I have been getting progressively worse, and pain killers are hardly touching it. Today is probably the worst day I have had, in a very long time, and because of the cruddy weather, this flare up just keeps dragging on. My question, though, is how can you tell when it is really a flare up versus an illness. These aches and pains so often mimic other things, as well as the fog. And, everywhere I turn there are sick people. Half of my office has been sick for the past two weeks. I don't think I have a fever, and that is the only reason why I don't think I am sick. Otherwise, I would be going home so I don't infect anyone, and so I don't make an illness worse. I don't want to over do anything, so I am still taking it easy, but I am just about at my wits end with the whole body aches, the joint pains, and the fatigue!

Thanks in advance!

Jennifer

Hi

I would call the doctor if i kept feeling bad so they can ckeck things out and make sure you dont have an infection.

Some times it is hard to tell what is a flare and what is something else.

I hope you are better soon.

Hi Jennifer, sorry to hear you are suffering. I am hopping you are feeling better today. I echo PB’s excellent suggestion, to check with your doctor. I think it is common for fibro suffers to chalk up new symptoms to be fibro related when in truth, we don’t really know. I think it is always better to be safer than sorry. Please keep us updated on how you are feeling and if you get a diagnosis for these recent symptoms. Hugs!!!

You must live near me!!!

Seriously, last week nearly killed me. It was crazy busy at work and raining and raining. My HAIR hurt.

Its sunny now, but I still feel crappy... can't help but wonder if I'm sick...

Hopefully, you feel better now!

Lol, Moe. I live in Fountain. Today was a much better day, but I am exhausted from the past two weeks!
