Fibro pain and the Bra!

I'm sorry to have to ask this, but does anyone have suggestions for bra pain? It causes horrible pain for me. I have tried adding connectors to the back, but then it won't stay in place with 3 connectors! I've tried "spanx" type compression top, but it's not great support, plus I'm exhausted by the time I get it on! Same thing with Sports Bras.

I'm still working, so going without isn't an option.

Ambien, I wore "Barely there" bras by Bali for a number of years. They are sold online and in department stores. About as comfortable as it can get, unless you want to go custom made with something like Decent Exposure (handmade and sold online -- I wore those, too, for a number of years). Not exactly Victoria's Secret glamour-wise, but they feel much better. Best of luck with this. :)

Thanks, it's the Barely There ones that are killing me. ::sigh::

:)

Depending on your figure you could try a camisole with a built in shelf. They don't have the greatest support, but they have some. For me at least they are comfortable and a better option than going bre-less.

Good luck

Hi Ambien Girl, thanks for posting about this. I also have a really difficult time with bras and can't go without. I have tried all types of bras and haven't really found anything that works all the time. I do find if I rotate / change model / style of bra daily it helps some, it at least puts pressure on different areas.

Hi Ambien Girl,

Sorry you are having such a difficult time. I have to say that I do the same thing that Aburnm does. I change the style every day or every other day. It works pretty well and sometimes I really shake things up and go without!

Please let us know what works best for you.

Thank you.

Jackie S

Thanks everybody!

So far I've been going with a camisole but that's not going to work in the summer, I don't think.

The rotating brand/style is a good idea!

I'll be trying that! :)

Hi Ambien girl. Boy, that's a good question for a snarly situation. What about shirts with built-in bras? I know I've seen them before, and I'm sure you could find them on the net. The few I saw looked comfy but I'm a braless girl since I stopped working, so I'm not up on bras.

And what about the bras that look like jellyfish and stick directly to your breasts? They don't have any nasty wires or straps to them.

One last suggestion: why not try going up a size in the back? Ex: if you wear a 36 B, then try a 38B. Maybe a bit of space would make things a bit more comfy.

Who invented the stupid old bra in the first place and did women have anything before bras? Aaaaaarggghhh!

Maybe you should go to a store that deals exclusively with bras. They might be able to guide you to a happier fit.
