Does any one else out there suffer from severe foot pain that makes it almost impossible to walk even a few steps? If i am on myfeet for longer than 15 mins im in so much pain in my feet that even when i get off of them they still hurt .. Pain scale 1-10 its always a 10
Yes! It's debilitating for me. It's worse if I stand in one place for more than 15 minutes. For now, try getting some Crocs or the old school style Reeboks. They are the only shoes that help me to be able to function on my feet at all. I think it's the fibro as it came on after fibro started for me. Rheumy thought plantar fascitis, but the expensive German inserts did not help, so I am going to make an appointment with an orthopedist to see what can be done. I found that Crocs (the ones with holes in them) are awesome for my horribly sore feet and I wear them whenever I can, it's just they are not exactly ok to wear in the office. Epsom salt soaks every day help, too. Good luck with help for your feet. To me, it's been the most debilitating thing about this horrible disease!
My feet are always at a 10+, very dry, I lotion them every night and the lotion just disappears and they are so hot. I to wear crocs and when I have to go out I wear nurses shoes. I bought some new winter boots , and can not walk in them.
Wish I had an answer for you, epsom really drys my feet so most of the time I soak them in a few drops of baby oil , and that seems to help the dryness for a day.
I try not to go anywhere where I have to stand to long because I know how much I will suffer when I get of them.
I have had all the expensive insoles , Burkenstocks, and specialty mad shoes and still no luck. So crocs it is.

Yes, I have a lot of foot pain too. Sometimes it's so bad that I can barely stand on them. Seems to be worse if I have sat down for awhile, then when I stand up again, it's excruciating. I wear crocs mostly, find them to be the best. Other shoes and boots seem to make it worse.
hi pep, yep i get bad foot pain too, on a scale 1-10 about 9 alot and 10 half the time. I have pinched nerves and had surgery for that several years ago. arthritis also in both, flat feet that really turn in. puts alot of stress on the bones. I'm 55 so that doens't help either. The bottom of my soles also burn alot like they are on fire, don't know what's up with that.why do yours hurt so bad? oh, yes, and i also have bunions and hammertoes. : (
I am 42 and im not sure why mine hurt so bad been asking drs and no answers yet . Mine do get fire hot especially at night and they swell alot but then my whole body swells, told a dr one time that i will wake up with my whole body swollen and he responded that there is no way that my body could swell while it was in a lying position for 6 to 8 hrs. guess he was calling me a lier. I am sorry to hear that you suffer so much foot pain i understand it is so freustrating isnt it? happy smiles and gentle hugs sent your way!
yes,yes,yes thats exactly what i am talking about Rose, i want to walk to get exsersize but my foot pain is almost always exruciating. i must try to get a pair of croc i wear mostly flip-flops they dont seem to hurt but hard to do that in the winter.

I have terrible foot pain - it's one of my biggest complaints. I saw my doctor last week and asked if my foot pain could be caused by fibro. He said "Fibro can cause pain anywhere, so it's very possible". I'm hoping the meds I'm on for Fibro will help. He increased my Wellbutrin last week, and I do see an improvement in my foot pain. It could be a coincidence, but I'm hoping the med is helping.
It's terrible when your feet hurt so much - we have to use them. Lol.

My severe foot pain comes with my fibro flare ups. And it feels awful! Hurts so much you don’t want to put them on the floor, bc for me the pain is in them when I wake up. There are days I am afraid to put my ft on the floor to get out of bed. Since being put on the nuero tin it is some what better depends on the day.
And I have super dry ft with no relief that I have found
