I am wondering to whether anyone else has experienced hair loss. I have now got to the stage that gaps are starting to appear and i only have short hair so cant exactly cover it up, I have spoken to my doctor and said that its the stress of the pain and maybe down to the lack of vitamins i have. I would love to hear from anyone who has this problem or has experienced this.
While on vacation my mom and I somehow got into a discussion about shampoo and she told me that she has started to use Garnier Fructis because my aunt's hair had started to fall out and it was very thin on the top of her head and she started using the Garnier and now she has a full head of hair. I don't know if it works but its worth a try and its cheap so if it doesn't you haven't wasted a ton of money or took more medicine.
hi. i used to have very thick hair until a few years ago it started to thin out. my doc checked my thyroid and said its fine. he suggested going to the dermatologist and do some kind of hair sample. i didnt do it yest but meanwhile she recommended taking biotin.. i think in my case the hair loss is due to a long time being sick, taking lots of meds and my age( 61) may be a factor as well.. i am sure stress does not help any health issues.. all the best to you ....and of course HUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGS
I just tried sending this to u but it didn't go thru. I had the same problem and then I discovered 2 products that r fantastic!!!! One is a vitamin called Biotin which u can buy at Walmart cheap. The other one is called Nioxin which u can find at most hair salons. I use the shampoo a couple times a week and the scalp treatment spray I use morning and night on the problem areas. Let me know if this works.
The first couple yrs my hair started to fill my hair brush up quick and litterally would fall out on my shoulders and then it stopped and grew back like it never happened and i went back to having to get my hair thinned during the summer as it gets to hot...peace out wayne
Hi Haley.
I had the same problem, so I went back to natural stuff my grandma used to do for my hair.
Use a bottle, like the ones for hair coloring. A bottle that you can squeeze.
Coconut oil, rosemary oil, avocado oil, Mosca oil, and if you can find argan oil use it too.
Mixed all together and once a week before you wash your hair leave in your hair for an hour in a hair cap. Give it some heat. You can leave it in your hair you want, because it’s natural stuff.
But my hair it’s so much better, and it grew so much.
We sometimes forget that natural it’s the right way to go.
Good luck.
Soft and caring Hugs. Yndira
Hi, Haley; I am a new member here. Yes, I have hair loss, too. I was diagnosed with fibro this year in March. I noticed a bit more hair loss than usual starting in May. It got so much worse within the past 6-8 weeks. I have very noticeable thinning patches where you can see bits of my scalp. No good way to cover it up, either. I use a biotin shampoo/conditioner that I get from GNC. I take my daily regimen of vitamins along with a skin, hair, & nails biotin gel vitamin. I was taking some herbal tablets from GNC for hot flashes; I was hoping that one of those was provoking part of the hair loss as I recently eliminated that one to see if the hair loss decreased. It seems that maybe it has & it probably has nothing to do with the one herbal remedy I quit taking! I have grown my hair out considerably for my husband & hope the thin areas thicken back up. Extensions would only worsen my problem & damage what hair I have left. I am just taking the “wait & see” approach in the hopes that my luck will prove as good as some of the posts I have read on this discussion. Best of luck to you & hoping your hair comes back to stay!
