Lately I’ve been in a flare of tremendous proportions. The last few days I get sudden urges to urinate and there have been a couple times I didn’t make it all the way to the bathroom. I mentioned it to the doctor the other day and I’m free from infections, so it isn’t that. of course, this isn’t my regular doctor- had to use an after hours clinic due to bronchitis. Have any if y’all experienced this?
Hello smalltowngirl,
I am sorry to hear that you have been experiencing these unpleasant symptoms. Good that you went to doc, to eliminate infection. I suspect you need to go to regular doc to rule out anything else. But, as alwats with Fibro, there no be any explanation, just learning to manage it. I Have both bladder and bowel problems, and there has been no explanation, despite various tests. Also these things someetimes just disappear! Hope that's the case with you, and I hope your flare doesn't last too long.
Take care, Anne
I know you said you mentioned this to a doctor but I was not clear as to if this was a urologist ? That is what I would do to see what else it could be other than infection which I am glad you do not have . All the best

Yes, I have had this same thing. Hugs! You are not alone.
Hi,
What a horrible feeling eh!!! Yes this happens to me as well. I did some research and apparently it is a symptom of Fibro (but what isn't....lol). Hopefully it will go away, ........ quickly :)
Hope it helps to know your not alone!
How did the doctor know you didn’t have an infection? Did he do a urine culture? Your symptoms really sound like a UTI, I would get in to see your regular doc asap. Good luck.

I have experienced this....as a matter of fact that is how I got my fibro diagnosis. It was just another symptom piled on so many others. It seems to stem from a very general weakness of my entire body. Thankfully it is not always a symptom when I have a flare. Hoping you have some healing....
Hi, smalltowngirl, were you able to get checked out by your primary doctor? Just checking in on you.
Hugs.
I went to my regular doctor and of course by then my flare had passed…along with the urinary problems. He said it was probably just weakness of my bladder during that flare and suggested kegal exercises in hopes that they may help during the next flare some.
I actually have irritable bladder syndrome along with irritable bowel syndrome, and it's what it sounds like. Feeling like I have to go all the time but having trouble emptying my bladder, cramping and pain, sudden urges to go, etc. I don't know if that's what's going on with you, but it's possible and could be part of the fibro for sure.
