Hi everyone!

Taking a much needed break to get ready for Christmas! Much to do for a clean house, beautifully wrapped presents, halls decked with holly, trees up and alight, manger on display, and hopefully a table set, and meal prepared that would make Martha proud!

Thanks for all the messages, e-mails, Christmas cards, phone calls, gifts, with all of your well wishes and support! Please know that if I haven't returned all, I will, I have not missed a one! All of my friends here are very important to me! It's nice to have so very many good ones!

I have not left the group and do not plan to. I will remain a moderator on Psoriatic Arthritis, Lupus, but my home is here on Fibromyalgia as a member and moderator. Will be dropping in when I need to sit down and take a break, and be back soon.

Hugs to all,

SK

Wow, that’s a break? You sure have a lot on your plate. Hope you are able to get what you want to get done done. (Great grammar, huh? LOL) anyway, glad you checked in. I’ve been wondering where you went. Hugs, MB

Hey Girl, we miss you !!

I'm glad you're getting things done and spending time with your family. It's good to take some time after covering all the different communities you moderate. It's hard work!

FYI: Consider this your yearly vacation.

Your next day off isn't available until December 2013.

Renie, you're so generous with your vacation time, thanks for the warning notice, I'll have to stay up even later just to get things done, especially if I am on the boards, or on the phone! What happens when you and I go to the Gulf of Mexico? BTW, were we taking the husbands? Ha!

MB, how are you, girl? I could use you right now, thought about scrubbing down a wall or two, but you could just help me paint them or even move them! ha! Good to hear from you!

JC, thanks, I am okay, and staying strong, have to until after I have Christmas for my loved ones, then collapse! Hope you are well and things are moving along for you to restore your home. 12-12-12 they are airing the Concert to benefit Hurricane Sandy. Bruce and the band are headliners! Should be great!

Renie, it's a great dream, reality is, we can barely withstand the ride to our Dr offices, sure sounds fun though!

MB, scrubbing, painting and moving walls, well those are dreams too!

I do plan to catch that concert though JC, not sure which channel will let you know!

Hello Susan,

Christ mate i thought you'd gone off the face of the earth...not seen you on LWL for a while but lovely to know your doing ok and preparing your home for christmas.

Just take things at a steady pace and i hope your ok plus hubby and the grandkids.

Your loving friend Terri angel in clouds blowing a kiss emoticon

Hey girlfriend!

Sorry never mean to cause you any worry, I just needed to step back and do some other things, do some thinking, and get moving on the season! I have showed you the photos of my home at Christmas, you know what I have to do! Should say "want to do"! The boys were here the weekend, we thought we were clear of the Bronchitis, but may have to take Mom back to Dr, she is not well today. At 80 I don't want to take chances, however, she has a mind of her own, as sweet as she is! ha! Imagine that!

Still have that room torn up from the water damage, the rest of the walls and ceiling come out, so they don't work here now until after the feast at this point! No drywall dust in the gravy here! I get it cleaned, all of the grandkids said they will help decorate! Good deal, even if I have to deep clean twice, it just takes me forever, even though my husband has a lady to do my floors every week. Pushing a broom, mop and especially a vac, well, my back can no longer tolerate it.

Just so grateful my husband got on the phone, got them here to replace the improperly installed segment of roof, done by the previous owners, (do it yourself deal, they installed the flashing upside down, didn't know why until they ripped it off, buckled all the shingles on the entire side of the house, what a mess!) anyway was complete on the outside just 2 days before Sandy tore through here! Whew!

Hope you and yours are well, I know you, you're always scrubbing and scratching, you have a lovely home, I'm sure it is beautiful at Christmas! Hope you have managed to keep up with the holidays nipping at hour heels!

I'll be over to say hello soon, on Lupus, Sjogren's and the others, until then please give everyone my best!

Love to my dear friend,

Susan

glitter hello text smileyspecial one :)

With everything which as happened plus your health i was wondering and thinking that dead unusual for Susan and now you pop up out the blue, so my minds more relaxed and hearing off Renie tonight also was a bonus.

Yes the phot's of your home was beautiful besides all the trimmings, it's like grotto land itself.

I am sorry about the bronchitis and susan it does'nt always leave the lungs and with your mom, you need to be careful alot more as kids have great immune system's when they're kids as you known.

I bet you'll be glad when your homes looking normal again it's so tragic what happened...NO NO NO let the kids get carried away with the decorations and let the lady do the rest...i've told you so many times and you don't listen your in a bad way and you should'nt keep on like this...i wished i was by ya to hold you down...you'll do more harm to yourself, so please listen it's only because we all care about your well being.

Susan our home only as a tree up mate and a wreath on the front door...regarding cleaning not much of that to do...as i manage bits daily all through my OCD driving me crazy and what i can't manage ste does...the amount of stuff he does now is unbelieveable but Susan starting January he's going through the place redecorating, christ i'm dreading it.

Dow worry about the sites mate regarding Lupus as it's covered besides sjogren's till your really upto it, just get yourself prepared SLOWLY.

big heart emoticonLove you loads my special friend. Terri :)

Hi SK, sounds like you got into the Christmas spirit… Send some my way … PLEASE !
Geez that’s not a vacation, a vacation is 10-12 days in a high end condo , with only 20 steps to the white sandy beach, a comfy chair, with an umbrella and just hrs of relaxing listening to the waves !! And when you go into the water up to your neck ,you can see your feet in the water, its that clear… & the sand is cool under your feet… Ahhhhhh (did I mention a good looking man to rub sunscreen on ya…) Oh shoot you have your hubby, ok that’s my dream…lol
Back to snow, Christmas lights and presents… Oh ya & that yummy turkey dinner …your family is so blessed!
Hugs & blessings

I'm so happy to hear this, SK! You do such a wonderful job of it and devote hours and hours to the job. I had no idea how much time and dedication went into the volunteer post until I started doing it. And try as I might, I can't keep up with this lady. Even as ill as she is, she still manages to put in tons of time and passion.

By the way, your description of your Christmas preparations sounds just sooooo heavenly. Are you REALLY going to do all of that, SK? How in the world do you have the energy? I feel like a truck has repeatedly run over my legs, and can't bend anymore, so no getting out the Christmas lights or stooping down to put the decorations out. But I love seeing everyone else's lights. Ya gotta find the good out of the bad, no?

The baby is so excited this year, he gets it, wants the tree and Santa, and presents, so I have to do it! We were too sick to have dinner on Thanksgiving, and they were all crushed!!! ha! My 11 year old grandson is the only one who is interested in cooking! HA! Even if he never learns anything else he can make bacon and eggs, and bake cookies and cupcakes! You know that sounds pretty good to me right now, if they are here I don't care what we eat! I promised my son turkey though, it's his birthday!

Hi lady. I have not been keeping up with the posts so I did not know u were unwell. What happened? I hope you are doing well and taking care of yourself
Sending love your way. …

Susan your a right one mate, who you trying to fool...the bay wants tree and santa, it's you who wants that to see his little face you spoil him terrible.

It lovely how your grandson loves cooking he'll surprsie you yet besides the bacon and egg, he maybe one of those deep horses just keepingis eyes wide and saying nothing.lol

Well i do hope your son as a lovely birthday Susan and just spoil those grandkids mate...we'll see the grandaughter over christmas once with her dad, then it's just me and ste. :)

Hey kit!

You know how it is, just never know when something will hit, today it was nearly 70 degrees, feel pretty good, the cold just KILLS me, it's like a knife in the back!

Trying to get the house sparkling clean before dragging down all of the decorations, grandkids said they will help!

Hope your schooling is going well, you should Ace it! Hope you are well, I miss you when you are gone!

Love and hugs to my favorite PA,

SK
