First of all, I'd really like to apologize for not being here much, and offering support, etc. to everyone. But I do want you all to know, that I do think of you on a daily basis, and I wonder how everyone is doing and dealing with things. Myself, I have been going through a lot, and having quite a bit of pain. Unfortunately I have to try to get by with "tolerable" as I can't take anything other than ibuprofen. My stomach just won't tolerate stronger meds, even with nausea meds. They have tried me with phenergan, zofran, compazine, regland, vistaril. It doesn't matter. I still throw up. So I'm just learning to manage with the pain. And on some days that musters all the energy I have.
Anyway, just wanting to check in and say hi, and wish everyone the best day they can possible have!
Have you tried the pain patches? I have found aqua therapy to really help me. The fatigue has been really terrible the last month or so. Hope your pain becomes more tolerable.
No, I actually have not ever tried the pain patches. I was thinking that they may not work, because my ob/gyn in the past put me on a hormone patch, and when we did blood levels, it wasn't showing that my body was absorbing the patch. It was odd, and we couldn't figure it. Figured it had something to do with my neuro behcets disease, so I never really even considered a patch for pain. Would be worth trying though. Can't hurt. Thanks for the info!
Thanks crynsugar for the info! It's always good to know new stuff to present to my doctor. Any kind of medication with no side effects would be wonderful!
So glad that you stopped by - we've grown daily with great new members and there's a lot of great discussions and blogs.
I totally understand what it's like to live daily without anything for pain. Ibuprofen eats my stomach and Tylenol does nothing. Welcome back, Vicky ~ hugs~ Sandi :)
