Well, I made it through the wedding without too much complaints..my feet got very sore.
I am so glad I got away for a bit, had a very good visit with my 2 daughters and their families. Even babysat my great grandson for a couple of hours.
I am so sorry you are under the weather SK, hope you will get better soon.
Had the same feelings about people looking at me and you can tell what they are thinking, but I did not let it upset me. Do we ever get past that stage, I guess if we have a cane etc. just don't know.

It's so good to hear from you, Vicky. Isn't it nice to get away from home for a bit? It sounds like you had a good time! I think it's better to go and just enjoy what we can and not worry about what others think. We know inside that we are the same people we always were, we just can't do as much. But, you see, you got to enjoy that great-grandson! I bet you loved it all. It sounds like lots of good memories.
It sounds like you had a great time. I also use a cane, and sometimes a walker and sometimes a wheelchair. So I totally get the look! But I figure, we need to do what is best for us. I want to stay busy and active as long as possible and I am going to use whatever it takes to make that happen!
