My Internist ran the usual tests for vitamin deficiencies, even did some advanced blood tests to see if I was vitamin deficient, luckily I am not, but had quite an education on vitamins from my Chiropractor, they are the masters, though a Primary Care Physicians are fairly up on them too.
My Chiropractor asked me to bring all of mine in for him to look over, he told me that about half of them were good, the rest I might as well throw away, so I always try to purchase pharmaceutical grade vitamins. Two of the brands he uses are Douglas labs and Metagenics.
Yes SK, I do take quite a few vitamins and supplements from the Melaleuca Company. Do I feel the difference? I cannot, but my doctor has srutinised them and okayed them plus the Clinic now has the services of a Pharmacist who looks over all your medications and goes over their use and when to take them and he is good.
With so many new health issues it's hard to know what I would feel like if I stopped taking them so I just continue to take them on the assumption that they are good and should be helping me. It's just that I don't feel the positiveness but rather I feel the pain from different sources.
Good answer! My Rheumatologist tells me that sometimes people don't realize or remember how much their meds help them, until they stop taking them! I already know Enbrel is helping me, so I'm glad that he did not change my biologic. I already know how it feels as my body runs low on this med by the end of the week, I cannot begin to want to experience how this would feel after it was completely out of my system after it taking 6-12 weeks to notice the benefits.
My muscles feel the benefit of the vitamins, for sure, sometimes I think it helps my energy levels, sometimes nothing but rest will help it at all.
