I am having a terrible week, have gone to the doctor and he said I was low on B12 and I have an enlarged lung, he drew me a picture, but that is why my breathing is labored..I need more air to fill my lung..there is always something new. I have never had so much fatigue and Christmas is in 4 days , it is just getting the meals ready that I seem to be stressed about, and I know all will go well just hope that I am not holding back on how I feel..really feel. Thanks for listening
Thanks for taking the time to read
I would like too wish everybody a very Merry Christmas and the best in 2013..seems like we made it LOL
I'm sorry Vicky. Don't we torture ourselves so much to make the holiday perfect for our loved ones?
What can they do for your lung? No wonder you are tired, the b-12 alone is such a necessity for energy, I can't imagine what the lack of oxygen is adding to it!
Are they giving you B12? When my iron is very low I receive shots of B12 and I feel like a million bucks for a day or two.
I hope you are getting plenty of rest. Call in your helpers if you can, there's nothing wrong with delegating the work!
Take it easy my friend and I pray you feel better soon!
The part of the small intestine that absorbs B12 has been removed so I have been taking the shots since 1978 twice a month. Your body will build it up pretty quickly unless it is an organ problem.
Why not make Christmas potluck and have everyone bring something? It would take all the burden/stress off of you. We have even gone out some years when Mom can’t do it because they know I can’t do anything.
At any rate, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. If it makes you feel better, I have not even started wrapping.
Don't be afraid to ask family for help. If you don't tell them, how will they know that you are under such stress. It's not too healthy to hold true feelings in. Let it out, it's ok. No one will think any worse of you.

I know how you feel. Since December 4th, I have been running around like a chicken with its head cut off! Doc appointment that went to ASAP blood work and CT Scan. My first mammography, no biggie right? Well, they ended up calling me back to set up another mammogram to look at a dark spot they found. In the meantime, I had an appointment to start going to the new pain clinic that my Pain Doc is joining on Monday. So I went down and did an intake appointment with paperwork, the day before my 1st colonoscopy .Last Thursday came, and I was there for about an hour. I am exited that he has joined this clinic, they have wonderful people and staff working there. My GI doc said that I have to through another one because I was still not cleaned out enough. Okay, made a new appointment for this past Thursday, and again, not cleaned out enough. Then came the "super-prep Wednesday night! What a crazy night...up and down to the bathroom! Yesterday, I was finally able to get a clean procedure. It confirmed my GPs diagnosis that I had Ulcerative Colitis. Now, my GI doc was able to see how bad it was. He considers it mild to moderate. I have to take suppository medication as well as one orally. I just found out how much out of pocket I will have to pay for the oral medication, $53 a month! I can't afford that! So on Monday I am going to call his office and put me on another cheaper and generic medication.
Today is the first day I have had to myself in about 3 weeks...I am exhausted!
Yes, the holidays certainly do bring out the worst of our anxieties and, as a result, sometimes the worst of our flares. Stress can aggravate fibro. I'm sure it's too late to change things for this Christmas but maybe next year you could re-prioritize things so that your fibro came first and then you plan the meals around it. Meaning that you do easier dinners. Maybe pre-made? Less items to serve? Have someone else do the cleanup? Anything that you can possibly do to minimize the fibro pain. Doing more and more and more is one of our favorite things but it's also one of fibro's favorite things. The more you do, the more fibro will kick you in the knees, back, elbows, etc.
Please try to take some time for yourself to care for your fibro. Maybe a bath with some epsom salts or a nice hot heating pad. You really do need to take care of yourself in order to make your fibro more manageable. And if you do that, it's easier to deal with holidays. Because heaven knows, the holidays are difficult enough to deal with.
So sorry to hear about the lung, I hope they can give you the care you deserve for this. Hoping the B12 shots will help, seems many suffer this deficiency here. You're right it's always something!
We already had Christmas dinner for my son and his family, we must not have been able to hide our utter exhaustion, as he says he is taking us all out to eat next year. I seldom venture far in the car, riding is extremely painful, but after all we went through, I make the ride! EASILY!!
I hope you have lots of help. please ask if you need it! My granddaughters washed all of the China, I told them to take good care of it, it was theirs as soon as they are ready to take it.
I had an acute case of ulcerative colitis. The drs did not know what I had until 3 days until after they did a total colectomy on me. I woke up with an ileostomy. What a surprise.
