I got new glasses!
I've been using reading glasses for several years now and have had prescription glasses with very little correction to see far away. Last week I got my eyes checked and told the doc I was uncomfortable driving long distances (like to visit either daughter) because I felt like my eyes were blurring up. Well, lo and behold he said my eyes had changed a lot since my last visit 3 years ago. So now I have progressive lenses with correction for distance. It's amazing! I think I will be much more comfortable driving now. Yae!
The doc didn't think it has anything to do with the fibro. I'm getting older. But, do have dry eyes, which he says he sees in fibro people a lot and he recommends the over-the-counter drops for the dry eye. That can be partially because of some of the meds we take. (Probably some of us have undiagnosed sjogrens.)
I know I've seen some folks on here hesitate to have your eyes checked because of the meds making vision weird. And that's why I waited an extra year. You may be doing yourself a favor by going in. Cuz this good vision right now doesn't have anything to do with drugs. Yae! I'm so excited.
