So I take about 14 prescriptions and all are generic and they are either 10 or 20 at most and for some I can do 90 days for 20. I can afford that but I just can’t pay for Savella. I know I shouldn’t complain because its much less than some but on my plan it is 80 for 90 days. I just can’t do it.
Right before I got sick I had to buy a car. Not even a new car so my payments are not that much but I hadn’t had a car payment in years. My work also changed our commission payout and I no longer get commission and that is a loss of anywhere between 500 to 1500. And now being so sick I do good to work 35 hours a week and that is pushing it. Throw in 2 college aged kids and money is tight to say the least. Its crazy how it can all change in just a few months.
I checked the assistance site for Savella and when I put in my info it says they can provide it for 60 a month. Yeah not helping.
I have been weaning myself off because I knew I wasn’t going to be able to afford it and I don’t notice a difference. I was home sick yesterday but it was the typical back and hand pain.
I guess I feel guilty kind of because I take all my meds to the point of being OCD. It just freaks me out to have to do that.
Is this just the crazy in my head?
I'm so sorry you're having issues with medications, I myself am on 8 different RX meds and I'm very on-the-ball with taking them so I don't think your behavior is "crazy" at all. I even carry my meds around with me if I'm out and about just to be sure.
I get my Savella through www.prescriptionhope.com and they do all the legwork for you to get you your medicines and it only costs like $18/month, which I'm guessing is lower than what you're paying now. I'd definitely recommend that site. Not only does it help me get Savella, but also Nucynta and Abilify. It's great because I was paying like at least $50 for each prescription.
You really shouldn't wean yourself off before talking to your prescribing doctor though, I wouldn't recommend it. You might be going through withdrawl too with all the symptoms you've been having.
