I am tring not to get my hopes up about the cat because i fould him. i did contact animal control, the police and the local vet no one has reported a cat like the one i found. my parents have decided to let me keep it even if the owners do not show up.
there is no way that this cat is your normal stray. for one he came right to me usually stray cats will run away. the cat is very clean and is not itching or biting it self. i did take it to the local vet where they checked for a chip but none was found.
the amazing thing about the cat i found is that it is a very expansive cat. the bread is Maine Coon they start at $800 and go for $1000's depending on the family back round. these are usually show cats. i will get some pics up of him soon.
i know this may sound horriabe but i hope that he is not claimed. i really want to keep him. this is the most friendly cat i have ever met. it follows me around and as soon as i sit down he jumps right up. i have met a more friendly cat.
I thought i would not own a cat till i moved out. by all means i should not be living with my parents at age 30 but i have never had a job that would allow me to live on my own. my mom doesnt want to move out and be by myself cause she is worried something will happen. men can try to prey on women who live all alone much easier than a married woman. when i get my disability i should be able to move out no problem.
Maine Coons are great! And very large too! If the cat is claimed by the original owners, and you still really want one, check out petfinder.com. It shows you adoptable animals in your area, and you can search by breed if you are still set on the Maine Coons. They aren't nearly as expensive too, the most I have ever seen is around $120, but average around $40. And try posting flyers to find the cat's original owner; it would be awful to never have your pet return. Good luck!
Hi Stephanie, I know you have wanted a kitty for a long time & I hope it works out… Just check the local paper for missing animals, in this cold , and as friendly as he is , I’m guessing someone is worried about him. I wish I could have a kitty, but my son is allergic

i have checked several things online for missing pets and the local vet,police,and animal control all have the cats description and my number. so far no one has claimed him. i do agree that someone has to be missing him but so far no calls. i will check the local paper too.
i do wish i could keep him but if he is claimed i will be ok i think. do to the fact that he is so loving i have gotten really atteched. he follows me around and waits outside the bathroom. and if i leave he cries and comes to me when i get home as soon as he hears my name. he is just the perfect cat.
It wonderful having a pet :) I find my dog to be very therapeutic. If someone claims him, then so be it, but i'm happy to hear that he is so loved already.
my cat is right at home. so far no one seems to looking for him. he is my 4 legged stalker lol. he follows me around and if i leave as soon as i come back and he hears my voice he comes to me. he lays out side the bathroom door and waits for me. his favorite spot to lay is right on my chest just under my chin. he has been great all weekend with my 4 year old nephew. when he gets mad cause i wont share my food or take him off the table he will chase me feet and wack at them to show he didnt like what i did. he has been great company.
