Welcome, GrumpyCat.

I don't have any pets as my apartment doesn't allow any, but I get my fix by petsitting whenever possible.:)

welcome grumpy cat. i presume you are a cat lover. my cat is named deja bleu and he is black as the night, rescued from a park where it was snowing and he was a tiny kitten traveling alone. now he is big, healthy and a wonderful companion for me. i would have more pets but movement is limited for me so one is enough. thanks for becoming a moderator.

Welcome Grumpy Cat

Oh, I have a Boxer-Pit mix named Seamus, a “Rubenesque” kitty named Chloe, and both of these were adopted. My 6 Chinchillas are so cute. My first one is from the pet store, and her name is Pandora. The second chin is Aphrodite and she was adopted from the local Humane Society. Both of these girls are the standard gray color. The four “babies” are now a year and a half old. I found these girls from two different breeders. The first two are black. One is much darker than the other, and she is called Persephone, the lighter one is Phoebe. She is very chatty and makes little “cheek, cheek” noises when I pet her! So her name has become “Chica,Chica”. The others came together too. One is an albino and we call her Isis. The last is Athena. She’s a standard gray. Chins are really cool pets, and live a very long time - up to 15 years!

So those are my fur babies!

Welcome GrumpyCat!

We actually have a grumpy cat. We have 3 cats total, and all are rescues. The first 2 are 14 years old, and are sisters from the same litter but you would never know it by looking at them. One of them is very possessive, does not like to be picked up and grumpy if anyone gets attention around her unless she is getting some too at the same time. She will even shun you for weeks at times. He sister is a lap cat and demands long hours of laying in your lap while you watch TV. Our 3rd. rescue is a male, just out of kitten and turning into cat. As a two pound kitten, he ruled the house and stood his ground against the old ladies. After getting him neutered, things have calmed down a lot and now they lay around together like their own little pride of lions. :)

I love your kitty’s name. Very creative! Thanks for the welcome, and of course I love cats! It’s all animals really. You should have seen us this summer. One of our neighbors bought two bunnies for Easter (Arrrrgh!). Surely you can guess the rest of the story. Her children were afraid of the rabbits, didn’t know how to handle them, and the bunnies bit, and we ended up with two black bunnies running around our neighborhood because she had let them go. A friend and I didn’t have the back story here, and thought the rabbits had gotten away from their owner. We caught them and brought them back. She told me how well she took care of them, how much money she spent on them, how expensive the cage was (not true), the good food they got, and on and on. I told her that if she didn’t want the animals I would take them. Two days later, one of her kids brought 1 rabbit over (the other one had escaped again). He said they didn’t want the rabbit, and I took it. He left and then came back 20 minutes later. His mom wanted $50 for the rabbit!!! My son told him to leave if he didn’t want his mom to face animal cruelty charges. Anyway, this “well cared for” bunny was covered in ticks. Her water bottle was too hot to touch because she had this bunny (black, btw) sitting in the sun with no shelter. We took her to the vet and got her taken care of, then found her a nice home. She turned out to be very sweet. We weren’t able to catch her sister, even after many attempts and traps. Sorry for the long story, but it just bothers me so much that people do that to their pets. I’m glad there are good people willing to take in the lost kitties and other animals that need a home. We are big animal lovers here!
