I have been having really bad joint pain that concerns me lately that something else other than Fibro is going on. I was diagnosed a little over a year ago and am only taking tramadol for the pain as I had horrible side effects on lyrica and cymbalta.
How can I tell if the joint pain is fibromyalgia or something else? Is this something that happens as Fibro progresses?
Thank you so much for your prompt response. I was thinking that. I feel like every time something new comes up it is always fibro related. My doc has not run any additional tests since my first diagnosis so it might be good to run some blood tests again to rule things out.

I have arthritis and lupus and have been having horrible joint pain the last couple of weeks. I agree with the others I would speak with my doctor about other things that could be going on.
Thank you all for your replies. I emailed my doc concerning this to see what she says. I will keep you updated. Hoping it is only Fibro and not something new.

also, may want to reduce inflammation through things like diet, many sensitive to gluten or like me, night shades. osteoarthritis will also cause joint pain, soaking in epsom salt bath can help muscles and joints for me. all people different though. feel better soon
Thank you all for your responses. I went to the doc today and she said it is just Fibro. I figured this was the case but hard to know when we should go in. Thankfully I don’t have something else but it is a pain knowin that it seems my Fibro is progressing or the weather is just worse this year and reeking havoc on my body
