This book sounds good. I think I'll get it. It makes so much sense that trigger points are the cause of much of our pain. Also interesting that the author said that PT often doesn't work for knees and hips because trigger points aren't addressed and treated first.
I,m not sure if that is going on with me or not. I think I have had it happen. Once i finally fall to sleep, when I do sleep, usually 3,4 or 5 hours at a time, I guess I knock out good. Does this happen while you are falling to sleep? or in the dead of Sleep?
Hahahaha. Your dreams are as good as mine, if not better lol.
Yes, I get awful anxiety before bed time. No wonder really. It's not always bad, but you never know when you're going to "get it". I used to like surprises lol. Now they make me nervous.
We just have to keep up the fibro fight as best we can, and not let it drag you down. Easier said than done I know. Sometimes it does get the better of you but it's not long before we're on top again!!
I haven't been online due to a flair up so I'm sorry it's taken some time for a reply. IK have tried muscle relaxers - soma, flexeril - they don't seem to make a difference except they make me tired so they do sometimes help for my sleeping. Maybe there's one out there that I haven't tried that might help but I may be wrong but aren't they all about the same ?
Hi Petunia - sorry it's taken some time to reply but I was in a flair up and just not up to turning on a computer. As far as the jumping spasms - they don't really hurt so much as startle and cause anxiety since it's hard to understand what's happening.
Every morning I wake and wonder how I'm going to make it through the day but then as the day goes on I do loosen up - and maybe the pain meds start working - so I think, no I'm okay - then the next morning I start the whole vicious circle all over again. I'm trying to change that and in the morning just tell myself that there will be a point in the day that will get better.
I still would like to find those 10 guys with baseball bats that get me every night. LOL
Bruises ? I hope you've told your doctor about that because unless yo are hitting things at night there may be other issues that you have that causes your veins to break and cause bruising.
It happens when I lay down and I'm waiting for sleep although I have had it happen when I was sitting still watching TV. I wake up during my sleep but I din't know if it's because of this or something else woke me.
Sweet, thats a deal then!! Just tell me where you want me to get em and the jobs a goodun! lmao. Today's been "ok" for me. I hope you are keeping well enough yourself
I'd say you should get 'em somewhere in or around the crotch area and a few good ones upside the head should do it. He he he.
Glad your doing "ok" today Jo. I'm running on about 1/2 hour of sleep because of one of those insomnia things I ( and most of us ) get. Sucks. But it's good to be able to log on here and have people like you that understand what the hell I'm talking about instead of a blank stare like I have 3 heads or something ! I know you know what I mean there too !
Yeah - they finally figured out it involves the central nervous system. Some stupid politician needs to come down with this condition so that maybe some $ can be "found" for more rescearch.
I know what you mean about the " alien under the skin " spasms - I get those too. I don't know if, for me,these things just happen at night or it's because at night it's quiet and I'm lying still so I notice it more then I would during the day. It just seems as if my muscles don't want to shut down.
I hope your weekend is going well Jullian, and I wish you an even better tomorrow.
Ok consider it done! Lol. Well I hope you're sleeping well as I type this. You should wake it up much better too, because these guys with baseball bats have messed with he wrong person and will stay away from you now lol.
The only time we will look at you like you have three heads is when we have just woken up or the doctors have given us some decent pain medication at last. lol
