I was just wondering if any of you have ever been tested for Lyme disease as you were going through your diagnosis. I have had lots of blood tests done over the past year and a half, but it seems none of my doctors has tested me for Lyme disease??? I would have thought that would have been one of the 1st tests that they would have taken to rule out Lyme disease, as the symptoms mimic Fibro. I am going to ask one of my docs to order this test, but was just wondering if I am just over reacting by thinking the docs should have known to do this (since one is a rheumatologist). Just another reason to think that the docs just like to throw this Fibro diagnosis on us without ruling other stuff out.
Hi sherylk!
Here is the gal to talk to about Lyme, not only is she a nurse, but recently was found positive for Lyme, she currently spends more time on the BF Lyme group, but if you leave her a message, she will ALWAYS respond, She is so knowledgeable and just the nicest gal!

Thank you, I will :)
Here is the link to the Ben's Friend's Lyme disease group, I belong there too, even though I don't have it, I have pulled ticks off my grandkids here, so I like to be aware!
http://www.lymediseasesupportnetwork.org/ You do NOT have to have the diagnosis to join, they are so very nice and the info there is outstanding! There are quite a few here that belong to both groups! I must belong to about 10 now, but we have been so busy with new members flying in that just being here is a lot to keep up with! This is my favorite group!
Good luck! Hope you get answers, and hope you DO NOT have Lyme!
Hugs,
SK
Hi Sheryl,
When I went to the dr Lyme was what I thought I had, so he did test me for it. He also ordered a lot of other tests the same time to rule out the other diseases it could be. He didn't say so but I think he knew the blood work was all going to be normal because he also gave me the name of a Rheumatologist. If I were you I would ask for the Lyme test. Hope they don't give you a problem.
Gentle Hugs,
Dottie
Here's some more food for thought!
