Lyme Disease

Hey all. I know I haven't been on lately and I am sorry for that. I have been super busy with work, school and family. I have also been seeing a new doc. Went to a neurologist and found out I may not have FM at all but may have had lyme disease for the past 13 years. I am waiting on a comfirmation blood test before I start treatment.

I would love to hear from you all and it is much easier if you email me instead as it goes straight to my phone. I have a new email address and I will add it below. I hope everybody is doing well. I look forward to hearing from you.

Miss you all!!!

hi ducky…i have lymes as well…so you may want to still talk to an RA or even ur regular physician cause my lymes caused my fibro…and if it is lymes u r to far out for any treatment…ughh i wish you luck…i went down this same road…dont be affraid to ask questions…i would find a specialist who specializes in lymes and fibro??? good luck and let me know how it goes!!

There’s a movie out called ‘Under Our Skin’ about Lyme. I found it very interesting. I’m being checked foe systemic strep too.

Hi Ducky,

Good for you getting to a doc that is thinking outside the traditional medical box! First may I ask…are they using a specialty lab? Not quest or labcorp…if they give you a negative, I would suggest suing another lab like Igenex or American lab.

About a year and a half ago I was dx with Lupus and fibro…many months later after still suffering with worsening symptoms a friend of mine who has lyme strongly suggested i get tested for it. Long story short…i was tested for many many things…while I was negative for bartonella/lyme…I was dx with Mycoplasma, Anaplasma, Yersinia, Candida, EBV, Herpes 1&2. So…no telling what came first, these bacterias and viruses or the lupus…presently I am being treated for the Mycoplasma and the Anaplasma bacterias with IV antibiotics. I’m on my third month of it.

If you are positive, you will most likely be put on long term antibiotics…IV being the most effective. It’s never too late to get treatment for it…yes you will always have it…but it is manageable. My friend has had lyme for 20 years and to this day takes antibiotics every day.

If you are negative for lyme, I urge you to have your doc test you for other bacteria that could be the culprit. Something is causing the fibro and you have to get to the root of it!

we have a Lyme Disease Support: http://www.lymediseasesupportnetwork.org/

The first lab was done at the hospital. The second is being done at mayo clinic is Minnesota. I will definitely be looking into many more things if the second lab comes back negative. Thanks!

I'm supposed to be getting my Lyme testing(IgeneX labs) results tomorrow at doctor's. He also tested me for EBV and HHV6. We will see. I was listening to an interview that Dr. Mercola did with Dr. Crist about Lyme, testing and treatment on youtube.
