Hello all!
Question for anyone that has been on this med… I have noticed a lot of muscle spasms since starting it. Mostly in my eyes, then one of my arms and my leg. This weekend, I actually resorted to punching my leg to try to get it to quit!! Kept me awake. And one other thing, at first this drug made me sleepy, but now I’m struggling to fall asleep. My mind races and heart pounds at times. Anyone else experience this??

Angel beat me to it. I agree with her advice to contact the doctor. And please do check out the links to see if your spasms are listed as a side effect. I know that for the SHORT time I was on it (a week or so) I did NOT have any spasms on it.

i have been on this med for a little over a month. i had spasms before starting the meds and i still have them i am not sure if they r worse or not. i did notice in the beginning i was sleepign better. and now some nights i do the same thing. i have trouble falling asleep but i just thought my body got used to the med and thats why i was experiening these problems.
you do need to mention these problems to your dr. the is a med called nortriptiline(may not b spelled right) its very similer but with less side effects. this may be an opition for you.
i hope that you can get these problems worked out with your dr and find a med that works for you.
Thank you! I thought I was adjusting to the med also. I think I will make an appointment because I’m not on anything else right now, but often have tension headaches and muscles in face hurt, like TMJ pain.
