New Hobbies

So lately I've gotten into this awesome little thing called Lolita. Its a fashion style from Japan sort of based off Victorian and Rococo and it ranges from Gothic to having a dress covered in cupcakes with a pink headdress to a simple clean look all as long as you wear a petticoat. A whole lifestyle goes along with this fashion. You act like a lady, very sweet and very delicate.

SO ANYWAY I went to a anime convention last weekend dressed in Lolita with my boyfriend dressed as my kitty cat butler :3 It was amazing to see all the other Lolitas, all sitting down every 30 minutes or so, acting very delicate just like I actually am. It didn't seem strange that I kept resting, or that my boyfriend/butler helped carry my things or held my arm to help me walk sometimes (so I didn't have to bring a cane) everyone just thought we were adorable. I am looking forward to tea parties and other Lolita activities that I can actually do with a group of people that doesn't cause me to be laying in bed for a few days afterwards.

Also I have gotten into Ball Jointed Dolls. A Japanese doll that you can pose in almost every conceivable position. Their cute and I can create them, paint them, dress them, make clothes for them, all sitting down, using my hands (it helps loosen them up), and I have also found a group for that as well! I suspect several other members have fibro or some similar disorder.

Two new hobbies I have found that I can actually do! Its a great reward for all the overtime I have been working lately. I have had to go to the ER a few more times but I was prescribed more Norco and Baclofen and Twice the recommended dose of Celebrex....it doesn't really help all that well. But my hobbies give me such joy that it seems all worth it. And my boyfriend loves Lolita too, he says he doesn't like dolls but he loves dressing me up like one (dressing myself is hard) and making me look adorable. So Lolita is something we both share. Theres even a male Lolita which his butler outfit is kind of like, he loves it xD I'm just so happy I have found these things.

Has anyone found hobbies that you can do without much pain that give you joy?
