Those of you who have read any of my rants (lol), I was going to attempt trying yoga. Both places around here that do it use incense. I don't know about any of you but since I came down with Fibro and the ten million other things that followed, smell sensitivity has been awful. Sometimes it increases my pain, sometimes I get light headed and my chest closes up and so on. I can't even burn a candle anymore! So needless to say, I guess Yoga is out. I am really bummed out about it too. To top it off, my ex told me to move on last night so I am really not in the best of places. But on a lighter note, I am trying a "mud and merlot" class on thursday. It should be interesting...lol....I am trying to meet new people, learning not to depend on just having a bf. I guess that's the first step right? :)
Everyone is so obsessed with artificial scents! They are just overwhelming us with all of it! Even most of the 'natural' scents added to supposed healthier things are nauseating to me! Does every product we use have to be 'scented', every place that we go be artifically scented?
Haha, its a class where you get a glass of wine and you get to work with clay and make something/glaze/fire it. I am an artist and I have a lot of experience in this area but haven't done work with clay since before I came down with this. I thought it might be a good way to see if I can still do it :)
Hi Ashlee… Have you checked any local gyms or a recreational centre (do you have one) to see if they have yoga? The gym I go to has a no scents policy, and has yoga classes. I now have problems walking into perfume stores, musty stores etc because the scents are too strong.
I’m sorry your ex told you to move on and glad you’re trying to meet new people. I understand the merlot part of the class but the “mud” part? Your explanation above makes sense and it sounds like fun. Good first step, enjoy it.
