Hello. My name is Samantha, I go by Sam. Just in need of a place where others can relate. I have a husband and three kids. I really need to figure out how to gain some control over fibro. I have a lot of stress over feeling like I let my kids down a lot. I don't know what else to say right now. So thanks for having me and I look forward to getting to know the site and its members.
Welcome, Sam, we're glad you are here.
Hi Sam, glad you found us. I will be here for you anytime. Have a great day!
Welcome Sam! Thank you for posting a little about yourself. I also have a child and I understand feelings of guilt at times. But then I remember all the positives - my daughter is much more compassionate than a lot of kids her age. Every child has a different experience growing up and even though this might not be how I envisioned it she is still in a loving environment. Hugs.
Hello Sam,
Absolutely agree with other posts! This is such a tricky condition, you cannot beat yourself up about this - you can only do the best you can do. I can empathise with you as I suffer from tremendous guilt, not being able to do as much for my grandchildren that i would have liked.
Take care, Anne
Welcome! I also feel as if I’m letting my kids down and my husband who takes up the slack with housework. I’m doing what I can to find things to help me, such as The Feingold Diet that we are starting (actually for my ADD/ADHD boys, but reading that it can help with fibromyalgia too). Today I bought magnesium oil spray to help my feet and calves (both cramp a lot). I have heard turmeric helps too, but of course I completely forgot to purchase it today! :o/ I usually don’t get on here, because I forget about it (yeah, I also have ADD Inattentive type), but I will try to check in more often. I’m the “out of sight, out of mind” type :o/.
Hi Sam,
Thanks for sharing a little about yourself. Glad you are here! : )
Hugs,
Sara
Welcome Sam,
This group is wonderful you will find options to try and ways to cope to make you feel better. One day at a time as with most things. Just be there and being their mom is an accomplishment! Some children don't even have that. So look at the things you are doing for your children. I hope you find ideas on how to help you in this group.

Thank you all.
Hello Sam! I am so glad you found this site. It has been a great blessing to me, especially in times when I have no one or no where else to turn.
I also have three kids and have felt as though I have let them down. I don't know how old your kids are, mine are 14, 12 and 6. The two older ones are great. They can see in the way I look how I am feeling that day. The younger one, not as much, but she is still very patient with me when I need her to be. My biggest struggle has been with my husband!
I hope that you find as much support and help from this site as I have. We are all here for you!
Hello Sam,
My name is Stephen and my wife has fibro. She was diagnosed about 12 years ago. we have 2 children and we have been married for almost 22 years. My son is called Sam and my daughter Deborah. They both have CFS. You say that the biggest struggle has been with your husband. If you feel able to share what has been the biggest struggle with your husband? What I find most difficult is how the pain that my wife is in often stops us from being close. sometimes just touching her causes pain.
Hope to hear from you sometime,
Best wishes
