Does anyone else get butt pain? My butt cheek is hurting almost like cramping pain never had this before it’s kinda weird.
Hello Nicole
Is your butt pain on the lower side........where you sit on? If so, that is another tender point of fibromyalgia. So, relax and know that it is a symptom of fibro. I have no idea how many people deal with it. So, it will be interesting to see how many members respond to your Discussion.
Thanks and yes it’s the lower side where you sit. It has eased up a little thankfully I get pain that jumps around a lot but my constant pain points are my knees lower back elbows and shoulders I get a lot of shooting nerve pain mainly in my arms and legs. I also get the cramping but mostly in my legs and hands. Today it is damp and raining so not a good day at all and right now I’m sitting waiting to get my X-rays of my hips, lumbar spine, knees and hands fun stuff lol!!
Nicole, as someone who has several spine issues and has struggled for decades with them, I can only speak from my own experience as I'm not a heealing professional. I am glad you are getting the xrays, as often lower back, buttock and leg pain is from what is called sciatica. I have had two separate nerves "burned" on one side to alleviate it. The correct procedure name is lost in the fog, sorry.
I hope they find it is only fibro pain, as I find warmth and correct seating helpful. I wouldn't wish spinal issues from disks, facet joints, or other structures like the SI joints or hips on anyone. And if 1 area is out of whack, it throws everything else off! What I have found most useful is to work with a really great, well informed, skilled physical therapist over the years. It's not an instant fix, and takes commitment and determination on our part
Just food for thought.
Hope you are more well and comfortable soon.
Yes indeed Nicole you do have your hands full. Getting the results from the x-rays is one step. The next step is getting on the right combination of meds to be effective.
Do let us know the results.
Hi,
Pain in the hip was my first symptome after fatigue, followed by butt pain. I get physical therapy for it and massages daily and do get some releif, however, I have constantly had it for 6 months, and from investigating the web its a common pain point. I try to deal with it, but sometimes it makes walking really hard and tiring, like I’ve been exercising for hours. Hope you find some tips to ease your pain.
