is your most consistent pain, like to see if we're all alike?Mine is a 24/7 head ache and back of neck and shoulder pain and in my back between my shoulder blades. These spot never don't hurt nor not feel fatigued and worn out even when i get up in the morning. Its like like i have been lifting weights and haved reached the burn even though i haven't done anything period.Sucks aloooottt.
Mine is always in my neck, lower back, both elbows, wrists and hands. Knees, legs, feet, shoulder blades and head give me a break from time to time.
O.K where do do you not hurt..lol
And i have had yrs where it was easier to list places that didn't hurt. That was an very very very short list. for real.
My pain is mainly from the waist down. My hips drive me crazy with the pain. The skin on both legs feels like I’ve been hit with a bat most of the time. You know, that deep down aching pain? I too wake up tired every morning.
Blessings,
Bevie
Mine tends to change. Right now my neck and shoulders hurt almost all the time. My forearms, wrists, and fingers hurt frequently as do my feet. The strange thing is that for the past couple of months I have noticed my left side tends to hurt more than my right. Or I will have throbbing pain in my left hand (right hand will feel ok) and sharp pain in my right foot at the same time (left foot will feel ok). Strange.
Mine as well, seems to hop around. The past 2 weeks it has been my right wrist, just below my left elbow, lower back & I think it is called the sciatic areas.
I suffer from a full body ache, sometimes I swear my hair aches. I have sharp pains in my legs, feet, and hands. I do find that my sharp pains move around. I also have a low grade fever, all the time now.
I have almost constant headaches, too. Some worse than others. Like so many who have responded, it seems it would be simpler to list what doesn't hurt. And there is a difference between what hurts and what aches. Some sharp pain that hits me suddenly and I am doing nothing more than sitting reading a book! My hands have arthritis, too, so they are in a constant state of pain - again, some days worse than others. I get severe pain in my right big toe, of all things. Sometimes so bad, I will cry out as if I had been struck with something, but I haven't been. This illness is not for sissies, that's for sure!
To all of you who are suffering today, I send you all hugs. lovepug was right when she said "this illness is not for sissies." I often refer to us as fibro survivors, as we not only survive this limiting disease but make the best that we can in the circumstances at hand, and I think that is admirable. May less painful days be ahead of you all. Hugs!
Beautifully said singingtrees and thank you.
We are Fibro survivors! As I'm reading the posts I see we all have pain in the same areas, some more some less , but almost the same. We're all on medications but we still have flares. I wish there was a pain pill that would help control the flares without putting us to sleep. I'd give a thing for a normal pain free day.
My hair does that too.and as Auburn says forearms hands and fingers, its just i've lived with it so long the most painful spots get my attention. And as Lovepug said my big toes use to for yrs,be stiff and painful,i thought I had gout.
Nova you got access to a unheated swimming pool.If so you might get that pain free couple of days.
Hi Hanging on,
Yeah it does feel like we lifted weights and got to the burn stage!
My absolute worst pain is in my lower back/buttock area. Next is mid- and upper-back. Next are my knees. If I don't take my meds on time, then the rib area burns. Oh yeah, and my stomach if I forget to take my Nexium.
What DOESN'T hurt on us??? Lips, I guess, lol.
Wow, I'm surprised that your inner knees hurt you in the summer, lovett. Mine go in the wintertime.
I did a poll on this about 2 years ago and almost every single person polled said that they had one side that was worse than the other. I wonder what accounts for that?
I get that too sometimes, hanging on and thought the same thing! Also, the base of my thumbs also hurt like crazy sometimes. They throb and throb. I had to wear those thumb/wrist guards for a long time because of that. Personally, though, I think it's odder for the big toe to ache, as it's not used independently that much.
Yeah, it surely isn't for sissies! Truer words were never spoken.
And I feel really badly for those of you with constant migraine headaches. When they attack, there's nothing you can really do to relieve them, short of sleeping them off.
And have you tried those arthritis gloves? They look quite comfortable and comforting.
It is odd that we get pains in the same places as other fibro sufferers. And so often, the lower back/hip/buttock area bothers us the worst of all. I know it's my worst; without the radio ablation/nerve burning, I can walk maybe 10 feet before the pain is up to 10 plus. With the radio ablation, I actually CAN walk again. If only it would laaaaaaaaaaast, wah!
I hear you, it would be lovely if there was a medicine that could actually remove our pain and not allow flares to break through. I don't know though, if that will be possible or not, as our bodies seem to build up a tolerance for medicines after awhile. Hopefully someone will either find a cure or a way to put this into remission or whatever ya call it.
