Since I’m new here I’ve seen old post just wondering what people take for pain and does it help? Me I was diagnosed with fm about 13 yrs ago after going through 3 1/2 yrs of therapy for hep c which I’m 99.9 percent sure it came from military, but anyway I’m now on fentanyl patches 75 mcg/hr there ok but still deal with pain and everything else that goes with fm I do suffer from spine issues too and hot baths with the jets on helps at least while your in there. I applied for disability about 2 months ago I’m from we and everybody knows about our opioids problem here just hope legislation doesn’t do anything foolish. I deal with insomnia so I’m usually on at night

Welcome here,
I know our members take a variety of pain meds. Some,like me, take none. Just ibuprofen, as and when. I try and manage my pain by pacing, practising mindfulness, gentle exercise and sometimes Tai Chi. Unfortunately I don't think any drugs give complete pain relief, about 30% reduction I believe. It is all about trial and error with Fibro, finding out what works for you, then just as you think you've got, the goal posts change! I would urge you to go to your Doc if your meds aren't working well, and keep going, til you get the combination that suits you, and of course consider other options. good luck
