Playing ONLINE GAMES for mind and spirit

I have started to play a Disney Playdom FREE online game. It challenges my mind and that is something doctors like. In fact, I have found that a number of people playing have had their doctor suggest something like this. Better than Lumonsity because it is a community. There is a chat section so we chat while playing,

Like the old quilting clubs that sew and talk. We have become very close, you make friends with those who play at the same time.

It distracts from the pain and frankly some of us are forced to rest a lot in bed but TV gets boring. Some of the people are recovering from illness, amputation, cancer and such.

I feel part of a group of people that talk daily, we look forward to talking to each other and if you skip a few days, people worry about you.

These are people around the world. I love it. I am talking with someone from Finland now, temps so cold u don't go out. Another in New Zealand and people around the US.

I have the same fun on Pogo.com! I love the wide range of games to choose from, and they have rules of conduct for the chats. plus you can make these things called minis, little avatars with clothes and props and stuff. The puzzle games and hidden object ones are great for distraction. I do have to remember to take breaks, though, so I don't get all cramped up at the computer.

Because my concentration isn't the greatest with my FIbro, I do a lot of complicated puzzles (in pen!! LOL) and I think everyone here knows that I am an avid book reader. The company AMAZON knows me VERY well by now!! Sometimes I will go to the library - but for some reason I rarely find what I am looking for. When I am done with my books, I love to donate them and sometimes I will put books on the table down in the lobby of my apartment building. People really appreciate it and I am happy to do it! I like this cause the game goes on so you are working through a story and it is FREE

I don't play online MMOs, but I do love computer games. I like the tycoon, time management type games. You have to juggle 50 things at once, while keeping an eye on the timer and meeting goals.

I also love to read. I always have books downloaded and waiting for me on my tablet. I use the Amazon Kindle app and love it. :)

I recently got Sims 2 for my xbox. Talk about addictive!
