I have a spasm or cramp in my neck, can’t swallow, can’t talk and pain is a 10. I haven’t had one in YEARS is there anyway to loosen it.
OOH Traci, I agree with Tammy that the ER is the place to be, this is serious and needs medical attention! Please let us know how things turn out. Just remember we are all with you!
Wishing you well,
SK
Thank you. I did go, they gave me a flexeril pill and a toridol shot. Im on my way home waiting for them to kick in. This spasm has been holding on for 5 hours now.
I feel so bad for you! I have gotten the full body ones that draw me up and cause me to bleat and scream, in a voice that is not my own. I thought for sure it was a seizure, my Rheum called it a severe muscle attack!
It really is hell what we go through sometimes!
I hope that the meds will do the trick, and that your doctor will prescribe them if they work!
I really hope that you feel better real soon!
Sending my best hugs,
SK
So sorry that you’re experiencing this and for soooo long! Good thing you went to the experts - but I hope they didn’t send you home without knowing if the meds were working? Sure don’t want to make another trip.
I had severe side affects from Botox injected in my shoulders, back of neck, occipital area and around my head for migraines. The worst was the muscle tightness and inability to swallow without choking was scary. Had to wait for 3 months for it to start to relax. Used heat packs and muscle relaxers multiple times a day.
Wishing you a peaceful nights sleep, hoping you’ll wake up tomorrow and feel better! ~ hugs~ Sandi
ER or urgent care sounds like the best bet. Apply heat or ice until then. Keep us posted on how you’re doing. Good luck!
I hope you're sleeping like a log right now! A beautiful log, of course!
