It hasn't been long since Joel had to be put to sleep, now Renie just had to have Cody put down. She should be back on the boards either Sunday or Monday.
Renie, I am so sorry. It is so painful to have to let a family member go. Unfortunately, with our furry family members we have to be prepared for this to happen.
I wrecked my car the day I had to have my Tricky euthanized because I was crying so much. I understand your pain. I went to the shelter and got the best little rat terrier. He is a miniature and loves me so much. He does not leave my side.

Renie - I am SO sorry to hear about your lovely cat, Cody! This is the one horrible drawback to having pets, isn't it? A while back I had to put my cat, Priscilla down - due to the fact that she was 14 and started having seizures. What made her really special to me was that she was born deaf. But, what a sweetheart. She would sleep on top of my head at night or snuggle under my covers and rest her head on my pillow. Just got to my heart, you know?
My son, Jason has been trying to talk me into getting another cat - but it's too soon for me When I get comfortable about it - I probably will get another one. Please know that you had many precious years with BOTH cats and I certainly know that they loved YOU. You will get plenty of support here. I will be thinking of you! Hugs and LOVE, Laurie

I had to put our cat weddo to sleep about 7 months ago he had a very bad stroke he never got any better but you got to remember if you love them do what’s best for them he was nearly 11 yrs old its not easy ( Debbie )

Renie, so sorry to hear about the loss of your companions. As a pet lover myself, I have two dogs and three cats, I know how hard it is to loose an animal. Your babies know how much you loved them. When you are ready you can save another shelter pets life. Too many don’t make it out of a shelter. Give a new kitty a furever home when you are ready. God bless you. Connie

My heart goes out to you. Our pets are like children to us and leave a void in our lives when we lose them. They are always close to us in our hearts and all of our find memories when they are no longer with us. I , too, after a little time, adopted another dog from a shelter and I swear that Benji sent him to me. The best part is that we can share all that love again and that is a testament to our deceased dogs because they would want us to give all that love we have to give to another animal.

I can't express how sorry I am for your loss of Cody. I just know how you feel and the heartbreak we endure when we lose one of our precious babies. I have lost two and still cannot think of them without tearing up. I'm tearing up now just thinking about you and Cody. Nothing makes it easier, I know, but you can be sure that Cody knew just how much he was loved by you without one second of doubt. All of your kitties were blessed to have you care for them and give them the gift of love.
I believe our spirits will be with them again some day and they live in our hearts until that time. My prayers for you are for comfort and peace.

Oh Renie, I'm so sorry about your kitty. Our animals are truly our furry children. It's so hard when they pass on. I was so gutted when two of my old chihuahuas passed on within the same year. It seems that they should live a lot longer than they do but thank God that we had them for all the time that we did. And thank God that we were able to take care of them and give them a good life for all of that time. We can't control the ending...but we can control all of what is in between. All of the love that we shared with our "kids."
I still think of and long for Francois, whom I had since he was a baby (I was a foster mom for 3 years for the other dog) and often look at his favorite spot on the couch and think of him. But the wrenching pain is gone. It does get better, Renie, it does. I think it's the loving bond we shared that helps to put the terrible pain behind us.
I know this isn't an easy time for you at all. Just know that my thoughts are with you and I would be happy to talk on the phone if you need someone to lean on.

Renie I feel for you, I had to say goodbye to a very dear friend only 5 months ago and was completely devastated. I also have 2 cats and another dog who I am very attached to. They are my family. As fellow animal lover, I am so sorry about the passing of Cody. No words can comfort as you know...and to have just lost your other companion, Renie..well I just hope that you have another critter to love. I lost very special dog last Sept and my Jack Russell is 13.5 yrs old just about...a person who also has had Jacks told me that longest her's has survived is 13. I hate to even think of losing her so soon after my other dog. So i can imagine the pain and saddest you are feeling...or think i can.
My heart goes out to you and what helps me is think how great a life they had with me....so many other critters are not so lucky....your Renie and Cody were lucky to be so well loved! my condolences
