I've been suffering of fibro for over a year and I want to go to a retreat to learn how to ease the pain and to be treated. Can someone please help me? I need a good place to go to and reasonable price. I live in LA but I can go to any city.
I was very interested in your post. Is it a retreat for Fibro? Hope someone can help you. Meanwhile there are lots of things you can try, look for other members ideas about managing pain etc. The important thing is to realise you are a strong person, don't doubt your ability to handle this! Good luck,
I'm not aware of any retreats, but I do know a place in Washington State that I love to visit for relaxation. I like to visit Skamania, WA. It is beautiful there and you can find a local hotel/motel to stay a few days. They have trails you can walk to enjoy nature and if you don't feel like walking, you can always sit in the warm sun and let your mind and body relax. I have found that when my body screams at me the most to take a break, is when I haven't taken one in a while. My body feels so much better after sleeping, relaxing and getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I stayed at Skamania Lodge and completely gave up cooking, cleaning and worrying about work for a week. I ate at their in house restaurant, sat by the fire they have surrounded by beautiful scenery of the river and trees, and allowed myself to rest. Just thinking about that trip makes me feel relaxed. I hope you find what you are looking for.
