Spoons!

Yes, you read that right, I said spoons. As in, silverware. Hard to think that something so small could be used in such a huge context. I recently came across this link & I just had to share it with you all.

I never would have thought it possible to prove such a large point with such a little utensil but after reading this article, spoons has become a familiar term with my family & close friends. I often get strange looks from people if they over hear us, but it really doesn’t bother me, I’ll take a chance to try to educate someone out of their ignorance of fibromyalgia! I hope for those of you struggling with a way to explain your fibro will use this to help others to understand. It really blew my husband & my friends away after doing this demonstration. Enjoy & gentle hugs to all!

That's a great article! Thank you for sharing it with us. I'm sure that lots of people here will get a lot out of it. You're right, a simple utensil really does help to illustrate the life we live with our illness and how we manage it. I didn't think it applied to me when I first came to this site and read it but my illness progressed and now I find it very true and helpful.

Now if only it were a bunch of spoons that we had to juggle, we might actually find a way to keep them all afloat and get well!

Hugs,

Petunia

Thank you & you're welcome! On my really good days I always say I'm going to make a bouquet of spoons to last me & it still never does. You might be on to sometjing with floating, lol! ;) Gentle hugs!
