Support and Thanks

As I have been reading the different posts, I have been truly impressed with the support everyone gives to one another. All of us are united by this oddessy that we did not choose but nevertheless are in. We all have this common thread and I am really glad I found this group.

I generally am a private person and it is hard for me to ask for support. I am a single parent and sole support of my daughter. I have to work. I am going through a really bad flare and honestly I am scared. I don't have many "in life" people to lean on and let`s face it, Fibro is hard for people to understand unless they live it. So I just want to say "thanks" to you all for the support and kindness you show each other.

Welcome to the Group!!!

& Yeah, we do strive to be helpful to eachother M

Auburn,

I am glad you found us. You can count on this group to be encouraging and supportive. I have been a member of this group at least a year but have just recently started to respond to posts etc. I am hoping to get to know some of the people in the group by being more active myself. So I understand where you are coming from when you say you are a private person.

So welcome to this group!

Thanks. I had a doctor appointment today and the crazy pains in my hands and feet are neuropathy he thinks. I am going to take a chance and start on a medication (Nortriptyline). The thought terrifies me a bit as I have struggled with depression and bipolar years ago. I went off all meds when I was pregnant with my daughter and amazingly have done really well for the most part. My daughter is almost 10 years old so it has been a long time since I took something. I just don't want it to set me in a downward spiral more than the Fibro does. I just hope that this works and I am trying to trust myself to recognize warning signs. But the pain is really bad right now and affecting me in almost all aspects of life. So "big gulp" I am going to take the chance.

Welcome Auburnm, You have come to a great place to receive and offer support. It has been a awesome experience for me here meeting so many terrific people and learning all kinds of new aspects about fibro. I hope you find it equally beneficial. I look forward to getting to know you better.
Big hugs!
