Tests came back negative

I can understand your frustration. I have had my symptoms for 5 years and have only been diagnosed with fibro 2 months ago. Before been diagnosed had ct scan, numerous blood tests , lumbar puncture ,temporal artery biopsy and plain xrays all to show negative results.I was beginning to feel I was losing mind. It was so depressing and no-one seemed to believe anything was wrong with me. Now at least I have a diagnosis and I can live my life and deal with the illness as best I can. Try to keep going, you have come through a lot and hopefully soon you will get the correct meds and medical support you need.

Hi Ann,

Make sure you continue to keep track of any new symptoms, just in case there is something else at work within your body. Not everything shows up on tests for all people. It took me 7 years of frantically searching before I got to my present Rheumatologist and was further diagnosed.

I know not everyone will turn out go be arthritic, or have other neuro or autoimmune disorders, but it's always a good idea to be under the watchful eye of a Rheumatologist, fibro is one know as 'the great imitator'.

Wishing you well,
