I would say they have completed 95% of their work, but there is sawdust and drywall dust in everything, and my grandson has informed me that he is not going home until school starts! So I won't be around much at all for a good time to come!
Hi I am new to the site my name is Sue . I am an Interior Decorator.....going to give you a tip on hoe=w to clean up plaster dust. Take a bucket full of warm water add 2 tbsp of Murphys oil soap and 2 tbsp of cooking oil ( Wesson or whatever you have) then mop iit up slowly . . The oil grabs the dust and the Murphys cleans the dirt. careful not to use to much of either or you will be doing a dixie onto the floor. Works like a charm ....GOOD LUCK !!
Oh SK, you enjoy your grandson. Congratulations on the completion of this phase of your project. I remember sheet rock dust very well. You be careful not to inhale it and not to work yourself hard.
SK, enjoy your grandson… As you know they grow up sooo fast ! Take his company when you can get it, before you know it he will be to grown , so happy for you that the upstairs is almost done
Hey SK, your grandson must really enjoy having his room back and I’m sure you’re really enjoying him. Hope things are getting back to “normal” or as normal as life can get. Have a great time with him. Have you thought of hiring someone to come in for a day and have them clean up all the dust for you?
Thanks for the tips, especially for the clean up, and you're right, I'll be chasing this for months. As clean and as careful as they were, it's just everywhere! The floors were also sanded, so that is added to drywall dust.
The gal who does my floors every week, tore her rotator cuff about a month ago, so haven't really found anyone else. Wondering if she will even be able to come back!
Doesn't look like I'll be able to disappear yet. Sandi and Robin need to be with their Mothers right now, they always come before cleaning!
