I have had an ongoing struggle with being very deficient in vitamin D. I am currently testing at less than 5. Has anyone else dealt with this, and what have you done to get the levels to stay up. I do take a prescription 50,000 iu weekly.

Have you tried a sun lamp. I've never used them but I hear if you sit under/near one for a short period of time it will help your body produce vitamin D and it helps with Seasonal Affective Disorder. Good luck.

hi.. My doc said mine was on the low side (17). so he prescribed 50,000 iu to take every 2 weeks. Yours is lower and I think your doc was right in his prescribing. It is very hard to get levels up since we dont get natural sunlight. Best of luck to you
