Well, here it is, the New Year. I woke up this morning with almost all 'trigger points'
flaring up in my body. It's absolutely relentless at times. I had planned to go out today,
but I am just too sore. Do any of you find that you have to plan your days around
your Fibromyalgia? This happens t o me quite a bit. Laurie

Hi Suzanne - Thanks for responding to my discussion letter. It isn't easy planning 'around' the Fibromyalgia.
I've had some people understand what I go through and then, there are some that can get quite angry with
me if I can't follow through on a invitation. appointment - goes on and on. I felt pretty good yesterday and
was able to get out and do the things I needed to do. But, just as quickly, I can get a flare-up that can last
for several days. This is what some people don't understand. Feeling good one minute, then miserable with
pain the next. Do you find that your outlook on life is seriously negative when you are in pain? This happens
to me all the time. I have the tendency to be very withdrawn when I am hurting badly. The depression sets
in too. My flare-ups can last anywhere from a few days to 2 months. In-between all this I still have the pain.
Well, Suzanne - this is the best we can do right now, you know? It's not our fault and somehow we get through
it all. I think this Fibro sight is really going to get the message out there that this is for real. There have been
some talks within the group to try to get either Dr. Phil or Dr. Oz to feature a show on Fibromyalgia. Personally
I prefer Dr. Oz. I always hope that in my lifetime, something will help us live normal lives and be able to emjoy
the simple pleasures in life, which is so hard to do when you are in pain. Laurie

The only thing I plan are Dr visits, well just about anyway. I am always so sorry to hear of how lives are affected by illness, especially the young. I was able to be young and well, make plans and follow through, though looking back I can see this at my heels.
I hope that you can get out of the pain cycle and be able to make some plans. Angel posted some good info on chronic pain, and I added articles about how to break pain cycles. Hopefully it will help. I totally understand your frustration and disappointment. We are so fortunate to have this site.
Wising you well,
SK
