When I first wake up after sleeping sometimes it feels like someone smashed the bottom of my feet with a meat tenderizer hammer thing , feels like my skin and meat are hanging off, how do you stop this from happening ?Does anyone else go through this?
Sorry to hear you are experiencing this, perhaps it might be plantar fasciitis? That affects the bottoms of your feet especially when first waking up, I would ask your doctor about it.
Gentle hugs!

Hi,
I was diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis and I have a similar experience in the morning. It feels like someone hit the bottom of my feet with a baseball bat several times. I'm sorry you are experiencing this. To alleviate this feeling, I roll my foot back and forth on a softer tennis ball before I get out of bed. It helps stretch the muscles in the foot gently and reduce the discomfort that occurs when I put weight on my feet after waking up. If you try this, don't roll your foot harshly over the tennis ball, it is a gradual slow process and make sure you only go at the pace that is comfortable for you and doesn't cause pain. Also, I would recommend talking to your doctor about this : )
Many hugs,
Sara
HI Alesandra. It does sound like plantar fasciitis, My daughter has that and she said it is VERY painful. She gets steroid shots and she says it helps some. She also wears orthotics in her shoes. Please talk to your doctor and find out what it is.

my doctor wont even talk about this or anything at all let alone more tests :( I have told him about thisplus other things like the pain and numb tingle in my back and the pain shoots down my lover back that stems off into both and some times oneleg impossible to get a new doctor been told none are taking anyone new
Hi, Alesandra.
If your doctor doesn’t seem to be listening, I think you’re wise to look for a new doctor. Be persistent in your search. Eventually, you are bound to find a doctor taking new patients. In the meantime perhaps you can ask your doctor to refer you to a podiatrist for the foot pain? They may not be so reluctant to send you to see a specialist. Good luck!

It does sound like plantar fasciitis to me too. I would suggest making an appointment with your doctor JUST for the foot pain. Sometimes Drs get overwhelmed with our multiple complaints during one visit. Most clinics only allow 15 minutes for a visit. Go in and ask him only about your foot, say you wonder if it could be plantar fasciitis? A primary care MD can usually make this diagnosis by clinical exam alone (later if not improved then might order X-Ray.)
If he thinks that is what you have, you might ask for referral to physical therapy or podiatrist. But usually the first thing is to start NSAID such as Motrin or naprosyn, do stretching exercises for the bottom of your foot (tennis ball or even better a bottle of ice water) and try to stay off your feet for a bit. Also, see if an arch support for that foot might help. It can take a few months to go away. If it persists, then there are other things that can be done like night splinting or cortisone shots.
So get that appointment and stick to that one issue, hope that works.

Well here is a way that might work for you in terms of inserts. Dr. Scholl offers personalized inserts for people via going to a specialized machine in Walmart and having them made. Not every Walmart carries them and they are not cheap (about $60) but they are much cheaper than those you get from a doctor but since the doctor gets a mold made of your feet for orthotics, I think they would be very similar. And I am sure the price for the Doctor Scholl inserts will go down in time.
And yes, I've also got planters fascitis and it feels like someone hit the soles of my feet with a baseball bat. I'm also thinking of getting the Doctor Scholl's inserts when I have a bit more $$$$ so can give you more info at that time.

I think this link will show you where to find a foot mapping kiosk near you. They are now also in some CVS stores. I don't know if the price has come down but they offer an instant $10 discount at the site that I've linked you to. As I have said, I haven't done it yet but I will. I can't afford the almost $400 the foot doctor wanted to charge me - what a ripoff!
Apparently there is only one product for all women's or men's feet, so it's not a custom made orthotic, but a lot of people seem to like it anyway, and it's only $25 not $60. http://www.cvs.com/shop/personal-care/foot-care/inserts-insoles/dr-scholls-active-series-women-s-replacement-insoles-size-8-5-11-skuid-897617
